📺 “Wonder Man” Trailer: Yahya Abdul-Mateen II Chases Fame and Superhero Stardom in Marvel’s Meta Hollywood Miniseries with Sir Ben Kingsley — Premieres Tues, January 27th on Disney+
With the MCU being around for more than a decade and a half, there have to be corners of this universe that still haven’t been explored just yet. Like, for instance, Hollywood! Yes, Tinseltown is now the backdrop for a new MCU miniseries, and it’s all about fame, fortune, and who gets to play a world-famous superhero when the line between acting as a hero and actually being one starts to blur.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (HBO’s Watchmen, DC’s Aquaman) stars as Simon Williams, a struggling L.A. actor chasing the role of a lifetime in this new eight-episode miniseries Wonder Man, which is not only set in the heart of Hollywood but also leans all the way into a delightfully meta superhero story where the glitz, glamour, and chaos of showbiz clash in a world where superheroes exist.
In the limited series created by Andrew Guest, Simon Williams lands the chance to play the lead role in an upcoming Wonder Man movie, setting him on a chaotic journey through ambition, ego, and the strange machinery of show business. But as Simon dreams big, he’ll need someone to guide him through all the pratfalls of fame and Hollywood absurdity that come with chasing superstardom. Someone, preferably, who’s been there and seen it all... someone like Trevor Slattery!
Yup! Sir Ben Kingsley joins Abdul-Mateen II, reprising his MCU role as Trevor Slattery, the washed-up actor formerly known as “the Mandarin.” Fresh out of prison and captivity and back on the streets of L.A., Trevor becomes Simon’s unlikely mentor, helping him navigate auditions, career advice, and his own questionable sense of method acting.
Meanwhile, visionary director Von Kovak (played by Superman actor Zlatko Burić) calls the shots on set, ensuring his Wonder Man remake goes off without a hitch. Because in a world where heroes are both scripted and real, image is everything.
With the first two episodes directed by Shang-Chi filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton, the eight-episode Marvel series doubles as both a satirical love letter to Los Angeles and a reflection on what it means to chase stardom in a world already full of heroes.
Wonder Man premieres Tuesday, January 27th on Disney+.
📺 “All Her Fault” Trailer: Succession’s Sarah Snook Faces Every Parent’s Worst Nightmare in Peacock’s New Twisty Thriller Series with Dakota Fanning and Michael Peña — Premieres Thurs, November 6th on Peacock
What would you do if your child went missing? Better yet, who could you actually trust when the unthinkable happens?
Emmy-winner Sarah Snook, of Succession fame, stars in Peacock’s new eight-episode mystery thriller All Her Fault, about a mother’s worst nightmare coming true: her child goes missing, and the people she thought she could trust most may be the ones behind it.
Based on Andrea Mara’s bestselling novel and created by Megan Gallagher (Suspicion, Wolf), the limited series delves into the paranoia that lurks behind polished suburban facades—where every friendly neighbor might be hiding something.
Here, Snook takes on the role of Marissa Irvine, a best-selling mystery novelist whose ordinary afternoon spirals into an utter nightmare. When she arrives to pick up her son Milo from a playdate, the woman at the address insists she’s never seen the boy. And when Milo is nowhere to be found, Marissa’s frantic search quickly unravels into a labyrinth of lies, betrayal, and buried secrets that threaten to tear an entire community apart—as her tight circle of friends and family could be hiding the truth.
Joining Snook in the cast are Dakota Fanning, Jake Lacy, Sophia Lillis, Abby Elliott, Jay Ellis, and Thomas Cocquerel, with Michael Peña playing the lead detective.
With directing duties split between Minkie Spiro (Better Call Saul, 3 Body Problem) and Kate Dennis (The Handmaid’s Tale, Run), the series serves as a chilling reminder that sometimes the people closest to you might be the ones you should fear most.
All Her Fault premieres Thursday, November 6th on Peacock.
📺 “Anne Rice’s The Vampire Lestat” Trailer: Sam Reid Rocks Out as the Infamous Bloodsucker in AMC’s Glam Gothic Rebirth — Premiering 2026 on AMC and AMC+
Here’s a quick theory: vampires and rockers... they’re not all that different, really. They spend all night partying, rarely see sunlight, and are constantly surrounded by groupies who worship their every move. And oh yeah, they both like to teeter on the edge of self-destruction.
So with that in mind, here’s a fun first look at Anne Rice’s The Vampire Lestat, a new AMC series featuring Sam Reid as the famed vampire Lestat de Lioncourt—only this time, he’s been reimagined as a glam rocker cranking things up to eleven. Which gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “throw up your devil horns.”
To be clear: Anne Rice’s The Vampire Lestat is the rebranded third season of AMC’s critically acclaimed Interview with the Vampire series, which now follows Lestat’s rise as a glam rock star, based on Anne Rice’s novel of the same name.
Picking up after the events of Interview, this next chapter follows Lestat de Lioncourt (a returning Sam Reid) as he claws back the spotlight, furious over his “perfunctory portrayal” in that little book called Interview with the Vampire. His revenge? Forming a band, hitting the road, and setting the record straight—rock-star style.
From showrunner Rolin Jones and executive producer Mark Johnson, The Vampire Lestat transforms Rice’s gothic mythology into a decadent spectacle of supernatural rock swagger.
Meanwhile, returning cast members Jacob Anderson (as Louis) and Assad Zaman (as Armand) are joined by Jennifer Ehle as Lestat’s mother Gabrielle, Christopher Heyerdahl as Marius, Damien Atkins as Magnus, and Ella Ballentine as Baby Jenks.
Composer Daniel Hart, known for the series’ haunting score, returns to fuse Rice’s lush romanticism with its new hard-rock edge, as AMC’s Immortal Universe expands with The Vampire Lestat—alongside other Anne Rice projects like Mayfair Witches and the upcoming Talamasca: The Secret Order.
Anne Rice’s The Vampire Lestat is set to premiere sometime in 2026 on AMC and AMC+.
📺 “Mayor of Kingstown: Season 4” Trailer: Jeremy Renner and Edie Falco Face Off in New Season of Taylor Sheridan’s Gritty Crime Drama — Premieres Sun, October 26th on Paramount+
Jeremy Renner has experienced his fair share of hardship over the years, and he’s always managed to bounce back. The same could be said for his character Mike McLusky in the gritty crime series Mayor of Kingstown. Now, as much as we wouldn’t want to bet against either of them, this new season looks like it’s about to test both men like never before.
Enter Emmy-winner Edie Falco as Nina Hobbs, the new prison warden who isn’t here to play nice—nor to bow to the McLusky way of doing things.
Created by Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon, with filmmaker Antoine Fuqua as executive producer, Mayor of Kingstown has always been a show that thrives on pressure. Renner’s Mike McLusky is an ex-con turned power broker who mediates between cops, criminals, and gangs to keep the uneasy peace in Kingstown, Michigan—a place where corruption isn’t a flaw in the system, it is the system. Mike’s entire world is a powder keg, and his job is to keep the match from hitting the fuse.
But with Falco’s Nina Hobbs arriving as the new local prison warden, Mike’s access to the prison—the nerve center of all backdoor deals—suddenly shuts down, leaving him powerless and the entire city teetering on the brink of chaos. If Mike can’t regain control… well, look out Kingstown, because the streets might soon be paved in blood from an all-out turf war.
Season 4 raises the stakes higher than ever as Mike faces the city’s breaking point. And once it breaks, fixing it might be impossible.
Also starring Taylor Handley, Tobi Bamtefa, Nishi Munshi, Derek Webster, Lennie James, Laura Benanti, and co-creator Hugh Dillon, the series continues to deliver its trademark mix of moral decay, blue-collar grit, and all-or-nothing power grabs. But if there’s one man who can survive the storm, it’s Mike McLusky.
Mayor of Kingstown: Season 4 returns Sunday, October 26th, exclusively on Paramount+.
📺 “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy” Trailer: Holly Hunter Charts a Bold New Course for the Next Generation of Starfleet with Paul Giamatti, Tig Notaro, and Robert Picardo — Premieres Thurs, January 15th on Paramount+
Imagine a future... a Star Trek future where Captain James T. Kirk is best remembered as the name on a building at the Starfleet Academy. Where Starfleet itself is entering a new age of exploration, reinvention, and a little uncertainty. And where the next generation of cadets must learn what it truly means to be a Starfleet officer—with honor, courage, and ready for life lessons that are more challenging than anything they’ve faced before. Class is officially in session!
Paramount is boldly going where no Star Trek series has gone before with Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, a brand-new chapter set in the 32nd century. That’s nearly a thousand years beyond Kirk, Picard, and Janeway. But that doesn’t mean you won’t see a few familiar faces.
Oscar-winner Holly Hunter leads the cast as Captain Nahla Ake, the chancellor of Starfleet Academy and commanding officer of the USS Athena. For the first time in over 120 years, the Academy’s San Francisco campus reopens its doors, welcoming a new generation of cadets. Each has their own reason for joining—some chasing legacy, others redemption—but all will be tested to see if they can truly live up to the ideals of Starfleet.
The series also brings back fan favorites Tig Notaro as sharp-tongued engineer Jett Reno and Robert Picardo as Voyager’s iconic hologram, The Doctor—now serving as a wise (and slightly cranky) instructor after 900 years of simulated life. Joining them is Paul Giamatti as Nus Braka, a Klingon/Tellarite hybrid with a mysterious vendetta against Hunter’s Captain Nahla Ake.
And just added: Talk show host Stephen Colbert, a self-professed sci-fi and fantasy nerd, has announced that he’s joining the cast as the voice of the Digital Dean of Students. Watch him make the announcement in the video below.
But for the most part, the cast will be composed of rising young talents including Sandro Rosta, Karim Diané, Kerrice Brooks, George Hawkins, Bella Shepard, and Zoë Steiner.
Created as both a coming-of-age drama and a cosmic adventure, Starfleet Academy will explore friendship, rivalry, first love, and the weight of legacy—just as a new galactic threat puts both the Federation and the future of Starfleet at risk.
Star Trek: Starfleet Academy premieres Thursday, January 15th, exclusively on Paramount+.
