📺 “IT: Welcome to Derry” Trailer: Bill Skarsgård Returns as Pennywise in Andy Muschietti’s Chilling 1960s Prequel to Stephen King’s Horror Classic — Premieres Sun, October 26th on HBO Max
Clowns are scary. We won’t get any arguments there. But a clown invented from the mind of Stephen King, and you’ve got yourself a downright terrifying character who has been living rent-free in our collective subconscious for decades.
But how many of us ever really thought about Pennywise before the Losers’ Club dragged him out of the shadows? Or for that matter, the town of Derry? Well, there’s a new horror series ready to take us back to where it all began. And while it’s not based on any of King’s novels or writings, it’s a chilling expansion of his nightmarish universe—one that first took the world by storm with King’s classic 1986 novel, IT.
IT: Welcome to Derry takes place in the 1960s, serving as a prequel to filmmaker Andy Muschietti’s two-part horror saga based on King’s iconic horror tale. Set before the Losers’ Club ever banded together (at least in the same timeline of the film version), the series digs into the cursed history of King’s infamous small town, where every 27 years a wave of murders and disappearances tears through the Derry community.
The show follows a new group of kids who stumble into the nightmare decades before Bill, Bev, Ben, Mike, Eddie, Stan, and Richie would ever face the clown. With Andy Muschietti taking on directing duties alongside his producing sister Barbara Muschietti, actor Bill Skarsgård will once again slip back into his greasepaint grin as the dreaded killer clown, Pennywise. This might just be the Halloween event you won’t want to miss.
The cast is stacked with talent, including Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, and Rudy Mancuso, alongside a fresh roster of young leads destined to become the next terrified faces of Derry.
From the looks of it, IT: Welcome to Derry isn’t just revisiting familiar scares—it’s expanding the mythology. How long has Pennywise haunted the town? How deep do Derry’s secrets run? And why does evil seem to thrive there, generation after generation?
Expect the same cinematic chills that turned the IT films into global horror events, only this time stretched into an original HBO Max series that feels tailor-made for Halloween—a seasonal reminder that if you hear laughter in the drains, maybe don’t lean in to check where it’s coming from.
IT: Welcome to Derry is slated to premiere Sunday, October 26th on HBO Max. Trick or treat!

📺 “BOOTS” Trailer: Miles Heizer Enlists in the Marines and Finds Friendship, Fear, and Identity in This Norman Lear-Produced ‘90s-set Coming-of-Age Series — Premieres Thurs, October 9th on Netflix
The Marines will make a man out of you—or at least that’s the promise. What they don’t tell you is how much pain, agony, and unexpected friendship it takes to survive boot camp.
It’s 1990. And for those who remember that era, the Marines were often the fallback option when you didn’t quite know what to do with your future—or when you were just desperate to find a sense of purpose. We suppose a lot of people still feel that way today. But for kids of that generation, the Marines represented both a way out and a way forward—a chance to prove yourself, escape small-town limits, or just find discipline when the world felt too wide open.
That’s the setup for BOOTS, a sharp, irreverent coming-of-age dramedy series inspired by Greg Cope White’s memoir The Pink Marine. Here, the story follows rudderless teen Cameron (Miles Heizer), who doesn’t have a clue what to do with his life. So when his best friend Ray (Liam Oh)—the son of a decorated Marine—decides to enlist, Cameron tags along. What could possibly go wrong?
Once at the Marine Corps boot camp, Cameron, a closeted gay recruit, joins Ray as they stumble through drills, dodge humiliation, and bond with a ragtag crew of misfit enlistees. It’s a world designed to break them, but instead it just might reveal who they really are.
Mix in a 1990s soundtrack, a streak of offbeat humor, and the high-stakes backdrop of a military that didn’t exactly welcome openly gay soldiers, and you’ve got a story that’s as bittersweet as it is funny.
From creator and co-showrunner Andy Parker (Tales of the City, Imposters), showrunner Jennifer Cecil (Umbrella Academy, One Tree Hill), and executive producer, the late, legendary Norman Lear, BOOTS also stars Conjuring’s Vera Farmiga as Barbara, Cameron’s narcissistic mother who always finds a way to use her son’s story to her advantage.
The series is set to premiere Thursday, October 9th on Netflix.
📺 “Nobody Wants This: Season 2” Trailer: Kristen Bell and Adam Brody Return as Love Gets Messier in Hit Netflix Rom-Com Series — Premieres Thurs, October 23rd on Netflix
Joanne and Noah are back! And love isn’t getting any easier.
Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, two beloved television stars with fanbases stretching back to their early aughts hits Veronica Mars and The O.C., teamed up last year for the romantic comedy series Nobody Wants This. And it quickly became a breakout hit for Netflix. Who knew older millennials were waiting all this time for the onscreen pairing of Veronica Mars and Seth Cohen?
Well, they have returned for Season 2. And the couple’s whirlwind romance is about to hit a few speed bumps this season, thanks to meddling relatives, messy career crossroads, and one looming question big enough to rattle their happily-ever-after: what religion are they going to raise their future kids in?
Created by socialite Erin Foster, Nobody Wants This tells the unlikely love story of two Los Angelenos: Joanne (Bell), a sex and dating podcaster, and Noah Roklov (Brody), an unconventional rabbi. He’s Jewish and holds his faith dear, but not dogmatically. She’s agnostic and doesn’t have any strong feelings about religion—other than she definitely doesn’t want to give up Christmas.
Is this couple doomed once the honeymoon stage fades? Or is modern romance more like a full-contact sport where keeping love alive can be just as chaotic as falling into it?
Also starring Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, Jackie Tohn along with Stephanie Faracy, Tovah Feldshuh and Paul Ben-Victor, Nobody Wants This: Season 2 premieres Thurs, October 23rd, only on Netflix.

📺 “Robin Hood” Trailer: Newcomer Jack Patten Rises as the Legendary Outlaw Opposite Sean Bean’s Sheriff of Nottingham in New Historical Epic Series — Premieres Sun, November 2nd on MGM+
The legend of Robin Hood takes aim once again. And perhaps the timing is perfect, as the current landscape is ripe for a hero who fights against corruption, champions the poor, and dares to challenge those who hoard power and wealth.
This new original MGM series comes at a time when the world seems more divided than ever, making the tale of an outlaw who steals from the rich to give to the poor feel less like folklore and more like timely commentary. But we imagine the makers of this show didn’t know just how eerily relevant their story has become. Nevertheless, Robin Hood is one of those timeless mythical stories that always finds a way to resonate, no matter the era.
Here, Australian up-and-comer Jack Patten takes on the English folk hero role of Robert of Locksley, a young archer who, after witnessing the pillage of his ancestral home and the murder of his father, rises up to take arms against the ruthless Sheriff of Nottingham, played by Game of Thrones actor Sean Bean.
The era is 12th-century England, and the Saxons are crushed beneath Norman power, their homes and heritage stripped away by those who rule with greed and cruelty. Among them is Robert of Locksley, the son of a forester. But out of grief comes rebellion. Gifted with a longbow, Rob rallies the dispossessed into a band of outlaws, men and women united only by their desire to fight tyranny.
At his side is Marian (Lauren McQueen, Outlander: Blood of My Blood), a noblewoman torn between her family’s loyalty to the crown and her growing devotion to Rob. While he leads the charge from Sherwood Forest, she maneuvers through the treacherous court, proving that justice demands both cunning and courage. Together, their defiance turns vengeance into legend—a symbol of hope for the oppressed and a thorn in the side of corrupt barons, scheming sheriffs, and even Norman royalty.
Also starring Connie Nielsen (Gladiator) as the formidable Eleanor of Aquitaine and Steven Waddington (The Last of the Mohicans) as the Earl of Huntingdon, MGM+ breathes new fire into the timeless tale of an outlaw who fights for justice, inspires the downtrodden, and strikes at the heart of power.
Robin Hood premieres Sunday, November 2nd, only on MGM+.
📺 “Harlan Coben’s Lazarus” Trailer: Sam Claflin Haunted by Secrets and Bill Nighy’s Ghost in Amazon’s New Mystery-Thriller Series — Premieres Wed, October 22nd on Prime Video
Grief can dig up the past, but in Joel Lazarus’s case, it unearths something far darker. When his father (Bill Nighy) dies by presumed suicide, Joel (Sam Claflin) returns home only to be haunted—by visions, by memories, and by a murder mystery that refuses to stay buried. In other words, it’s just another mind-bending thriller from best-selling and award-winning novelist Harlan Coben.
Lazarus is a new Amazon original series based on an original story idea by Coben and BAFTA-winner Danny Brocklehurst (Fool Me Once, Brassic). Claflin stars as the title character, drawn into a conspiracy with supernatural overtones as he begins seeing the ghostly victims of unsolved homicides—including his own father. What starts as a personal reckoning soon spirals into something larger, pulling Joel into a web of murders that may connect to the tragic death of his sister 25 years earlier. Each clue drags him deeper into the shadows of his family’s past, forcing him to question not just what happened, but whether he can trust anything he sees—or anyone he knows.
Also co-starring Alexandra Roach, David Fynn, Karla Crome, and Kate Ashfield, Lazarus aims to blend grief, paranoia, and slow-burn suspense into a six-episode mind puzzle where the dead are asking for justice.
The full series is scheduled to drop Wednesday, October 22nd on Prime Video.
📺 “Loot: Season 3” Trailer: Maya Rudolph’s Billionaire Philanthropist Courts Chaos and Comedy in New Season of Apple’s Comey Series — Premieres Wed, October 15th on Apple TV+
Hey. At this point, Maya Rudolph can’t do any wrong in our book. She walks into a scene and the whole thing instantly gets ten times funnier. So, to see Rudolph playing a clueless billionaire so desperate to win hearts and minds that she’s willing to give away millions to those who need it, well... that’s simply comedy gold!
Rudolph returns for Season 3 of Loot, an Apple original comedy series where she stars as Molly Wells, a divorced billionaire turned philanthropist. After a terrible public breakup, Molly decides to give away most of her fortune through her charitable foundation. It’s a beautiful gesture. The only problem? Molly is absolutely clueless when it comes to financial management, begging the question—is she really this philanthropic, or just outrageously reckless with her billions?
But then again, if she’s willing to give up that much money to the needy, should we care if she’s over-dressed, over-privileged, and hilariously out of touch? It seems being this charitable comes with its fair share of complications.
After last season’s finale saw Molly on her private jet with Nicholas (Joel Kim Booster) in tow, Season 3 picks up with her still dodging blowback from her fellow billionaires and that painfully awkward almost-romantic moment with Arthur (Nat Faxon). But with Molly trying her hardest to give love one more shot, Arthur finds himself trying to fit into her orbit, complete with a makeover—and the ultimate billionaire accessory: a gold chain necklace just like the one Mark Zuckerberg wears.
But can Molly finally balance love, legacy, and her lofty vow to give away her fortune—or will her good intentions spark even more chaos? Expect more sharp comedy and heartfelt mayhem from the Wells Foundation crew, with Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Ron Funches, Stephanie Styles, and Joel Kim Booster all back alongside Rudolph.
Loot: Season 3 premieres Wednesday, October 15th on Apple TV+.
