📺 “Spartacus: House of Ashur” Trailer: Nick E. Tarabay Returns from the Dead in STARZ’s Bloody New Gladiator Spin-Off Series with Tenika Davis — Premieres Fri, December 5th on STARZ
Anyone who said death is permanent clearly hasn’t been to the blood-soaked world of Spartacus, where dying is just an inconvenient pause — a brief intermission before the next round of gladiator carnage.
Spartacus actor Nick E. Tarabay makes his glorious return as Ashur, the cunning, silver-tongued ex-gladiator who’s become a fan favorite for his ability to talk his way out of any dire situation... and backstab anyone foolish enough to trust him. Any fan of the ultra-violent Spartacus franchise knows Tarabay has played Ashur with enough charm, menace, and sly wit to make betrayal look like an art form.
So it makes sense that producers would bring him back for his own spin-off series. There’s just one small problem: Ashur was killed in the finale of 2012’s Spartacus: Vengeance. But with enough time gone by and a bit of creative resurrection magic, Ashur returns in this alternate-timeline reboot. And this time, he’s stronger than ever — taking command of his own ludus (that’s gladiator school, for the uninitiated).
Spartacus: House of Ashur not only revives the franchise for one more limited STARZ series but adds a sly twist to its blood-and-sand mythology. Here, Tarabay’s Ashur is as calculating as ever, carefully stacking the deck against his rivals when a new fighter enters the pit: Achillia, played by Tenika Davis (Titans, Jupiter’s Legacy). She’s a female gladiator — the first woman to enter the blood-drenched games — and she refuses to bow, breaking every rule in the male-dominated arena. With each victory, she becomes both Ashur’s greatest weapon and his most dangerous threat.
Created by Spartacus mastermind Steven S. DeKnight and also starring Graham McTavish, Ivana Baquero, Jamaica Vaughan, Jordi Webber, Claudia Black, India Shaw-Smith, Cameron Rhodes, and Leigh Gill, this alternate-timeline spinoff promises blood, betrayal, and plenty of backstabbing in true Spartacus fashion.
Spartacus: House of Ashur is slated to premiere Friday, December 5th on STARZ.

📺 “The Creep Tapes: Season 2” Trailer: Mark Duplass Returns with More Unearthed Footage, More Victims, and Even Darker Laughs in New Season with David Dastmalchian — Premieres Fri, November 14th on Shudder/AMC+
In a world where eBay, Craigslist, and Facebook Marketplace exist, there will always be that lingering fear that you might be making a transaction with someone you probably shouldn’t trust. And for anyone who’s ever bought something from a stranger, driving to a random location to pick it up can sometimes feel like the start of a horror movie.
This is why Mark Duplass and Patrick Brice’s Creep franchise — which now includes the Shudder original series The Creep Tapes — is such a masterstroke of terror, tapping into our primal fear of trusting strangers and turning awkward meetups and online exchanges into nerve-shredding encounters of pure psychological horror.
Well, Peachfuzz is back once again for another round of terrorizing unsuspecting victims — and this time, he’s bringing his camera to capture every chilling moment on tape. Because you might not have asked for it, but he’s more than happy to give you front-row seats to his disturbing brand of found-footage dread.
From writers and executive producers Mark Duplass and Patrick Brice, The Creep Tapes: Season 2 once again opens the vault on a chilling collection of recordings from the world’s most disturbingly awkward serial killer (Duplass). Each unearthed tape captures a new descent into the mind of a man whose disarming charm quickly turns sinister.
Guest stars this season include David Dastmalchian (Late Night with the Devil, Dexter: Resurrection), Katie Aselton (The Morning Show, The League), and Robert Longstreet (Midnight Mass, The Haunting of Hill House), each playing new victims — or possibly accomplices — caught in Peachfuzz’s unnerving orbit.
The Creep Tapes: Season 2 premieres Friday, November 14th on Shudder/AMC+, with new episodes dropping weekly through the season finale on December 19th.
📺 “A Thousand Blows: Season 2” Teaser: Erin Doherty, Stephen Graham, and Malachi Kirby Return for More Blood, Betrayal, and Bare-Knuckle Chaos in Steven Knight’s Gritty Period Boxing Series — Premieres Friday, January 9 on Hulu
Recent Emmy winners Erin Doherty and Stephen Graham, who last collaborated on this year’s Emmy-winning Netflix miniseries Adolescence, might just be the acting duo you don’t want to miss as they’re set to return for a new season of their other acclaimed streaming series, A Thousand Blows. And while Adolescence might have gotten all the prestige buzz, this gritty Hulu period boxing drama (which also launched earlier this year) is nothing to underestimate, as it offers both Doherty and Graham a chance to play ferocious and morally conflicted characters whose greatest skill is simply to survive the harshest of conditions.
Created by Peaky Blinders mastermind Steven Knight and inspired by true events and real historical figures, A Thousand Blows takes viewers into the grimy, smoke-filled underworld of London’s East End in the 1880s. It’s a world where fists do the talking, money changes hands in back-alley rings, and survival depends on how hard you can hit... or how quickly you can run.
Malachi Kirby (Small Axe: Mangrove) stars as Hezekiah, a Jamaican immigrant who has arrived in England to seek a fresh start. And in Season 1, Hezekiah found himself drawn into the brutal world of bare-knuckle boxing, where every fight is a gamble and every opponent a potential killer.
After teaming up with a cunning “Forty Elephant” thief played by Emmy-winner Erin Doherty, Hezekiah sought to rise through the ranks of London’s underground fight circuit. Yet to claim the crown, he had to face Sugar Goodson—portrayed here by Emmy-winner Stephen Graham (who also serves as executive producer)—the reigning king of the underground ring who has no plans to step aside. Sugar is also the ruthless kingpin of London’s criminal underworld, and to defeat him means taking on the city itself.
Season 2 of A Thousand Blows is slated to arrive Friday, January 9 on Hulu, and the stakes have never been higher—and the fights even more brutal. Expect bloodier brawls, bruised knuckles, and a full-blown street war where the only rule is survival at all costs.
