đș âCommon Side Effects: Season 2â Teaser: Marshall and Frances Are Back on the Run in Adult Swimâs Weird and Wonderfully Trippy Animated Conspiracy Comedy â Premieres January 24th on Adult Swim, Streaming Next Day on HBO Max
Hmm, how do you describe this Adult Swim series? Letâs give it a try: Imagine Indiana Jones and The Big Lebowski getting thrown together during a psychedelic acid trip, and what you end up with is a magic mushroom-protecting, anti-corporate hero who sports a bucket hat, a potbelly, an unbuttoned pink short-sleeve shirt, and a pair of jorts instead of a cool fedora, leather jacket, and whip.
And even with that nifty introduction, you still might not have the slightest idea what Common Side Effects is all about. But one thingâs for sure: itâs one of the coolest (and weirdest) animated comedy series to come along in quite a while.
Created by Joe Bennett (Scavengers Reign) and Steve Hely (The Office, 30 Rock, Veep), and featuring the voices of Dave King, Emily Pendergast, Martha Kelly, Joseph Lee Anderson, and Mike Judge, who also serves as an executive producer, this acid trip of a cartoon series imagines a world where a rare strain of mushroom can cure just about any disease known to mankind. Unfortunately, that kind of miracle doesnât sit too well with the pharmaceutical industry or the government.
Stuck in the middle of this pharmaceutical-fueled manhunt is Marshall Cuso (King), a laid-back botanist who, after years of research, has finally found the fabled Blue Angel mushroom. Wanting to share his discovery with the world for the greater good, Marshall reunites with his old high school lab partner, Frances Applewhite (Pendergast), believing her connections to the pharmaceutical industry might somehow provide a way to get it into the hands of the public. Little do they realize that their miracle cure is about to make them targets of some very powerful people who would rather see the mushroom disappear than let it change the world.
Season 2 will continue to follow Marshall and Frances on the run as they deal with the increasingly bizarre consequences of their discovery, while government agents Harrington (Kelly) and Copano (Lee Anderson) remain hot on their trail. Marshall believes a deeper dive into the mushroomâs ancient history and mythology just might unlock the secrets behind its miraculous healing powers. Or perhaps lead to another mind-melting acid trip. Either way, pharmaceutical CEO Rick Kruger (Judge) believes that if he can get his hands on the Blue Angel, heâll be sitting on the most valuable medical discovery in history. And you can bet heâs not exactly planning to give it away for free.
If you like your animated shows weird and wonderfully trippy, we canât recommend checking out Season 1 of Common Side Effects enough. And while youâre at it, get ready for Season 2, which is set to premiere January 24, 2027, on Adult Swim, with episodes streaming the following day on HBO Max.

đș âThe Greatestâ Trailer: Jaalen Best Steps Into the Ring as Boxing Legend Muhammad Ali in This Michael B. Jordan-Produced Biographical Sports Drama Series Exploring the Man Behind the Legend â Premieres Wednesday, November 4th on Prime Video
What made Muhammad Ali âThe Greatestâ? Now, perhaps the term âthe greatestâ might be a little subjective to some. But in this case, weâre not just talking about what he accomplished inside the boxing ring. Sure, his speed, skill, and larger-than-life personality made him one of the most celebrated athletes in history. But it was what he stood for outside the ring; his willingness to challenge the establishment, speak his mind, and stand by his convictions, even when it came at a tremendous personal cost. It made Muhammad Ali so much more than just another boxing champion.
In the upcoming Amazon series The Greatest, Muhammad Ali isnât simply the subject of another sports biopic. His life also serves as a window into a pivotal chapter of American history, when the country was undergoing tremendous social and political change. It was an era marked by the civil rights movement, racial tensions, the Vietnam War, and a generation beginning to question the very institutions they had been taught to respect. And right in the middle of it all was a young boxer from Louisville, Kentucky, named Cassius Clay, who wasnât afraid to speak his mind, challenge the status quo, or even change his name to reflect his religious beliefs and personal identity.
Relative newcomer Jaalen Best takes on the role of the boxing champion who would eventually become known around the world as âThe Greatest.â Heâs joined by an impressive ensemble cast, including Omari Hardwick (Power) and Dana Gourrier (Django Unchained, The Hateful Eight) as Aliâs parents, Cassius Clay Sr. and Odessa âBirdâ Clay; Kai Parham as his brother Rudy; Amin Joseph (Snowfall) as his legendary rival Sonny Liston; Giovanni Ribisi (Avatar) as his longtime trainer Angelo Dundee; and Michael Ealy (Barbershop) as the influential civil rights figure Malcolm X.
Created and executive produced by Ben Watkins (Cross), alongside fellow executive producers Oscar winner Michael B. Jordan, Shawn Carter (Jay-Z), and Muhammad Aliâs widow, Lonnie Ali, The Greatest is set to premiere Wednesday, November 4th, exclusively on Prime Video. The eight-episode limited series is also the first authorized scripted television drama about the legendary boxer, developed with the involvement of Aliâs estate.

đș âFrisco Kingâ Teaser: Samuel L. Jackson Heads to Texas to Build His Own Criminal Empire in Taylor Sheridanâs Upcoming âTulsa Kingâ Spinoff Series â Premiering Friday, December 18th on Paramount+
Samuel L. Jackson is one of those actors whose larger-than-life personality can barely be contained on the big screen, let alone the small screen. So we can expect plenty of wild antics, outrageous situations, and Jacksonâs trademark attitude pushing the limits of your TV screen as he takes center stage in the new Paramount+ series Frisco King.
For the uninitiated, Jackson made a guest appearance in the third season of Sylvester Stalloneâs hit mob series Tulsa King. He played Russell Lee Washington Jr., a seasoned New Orleans gangster and former hitman who was sent to take out Stalloneâs character, Dwight Manfredi. But rather than kill an old acquaintance from his prison days, Lee decided to spare him. Now, heâs heading to Frisco, Texas, where he discovers that beneath the manicured lawns and picture-perfect neighborhoods lies a whole new world of criminal opportunities just waiting to be exploited.
As one of the many shows under the ever-expanding Taylor Sheridan-created Paramount+ umbrella, Frisco King is written entirely by Sheridan himself, who penned all eight episodes of the spinoff series. While an official showrunner has yet to be confirmed, the series features directors Christina Alexandra Voros and Michael Friedman, with each helming four episodes.
Joining Jackson in the cast are Asa Germann as Teddy, Kai Caster as Keith, Lilah Pate as London, and Savanna Gann as Avery, a ragtag group of characters who become part of Leeâs growing criminal enterprise. And for fans of the original series, Sylvester Stallone is also set to make a special appearance, reprising his role as Dwight Manfredi.
Frisco King is set to premiere Friday, December 18th, exclusively on Paramount+, launching with its first two episodes before continuing with new episodes every Friday.

đș â12 12 12â Trailer: Jamie Dornan Has 12 Days to Escape After a Daring Bank Heist, but Anthony Mackie Is Determined to Catch Him in This Robbery/Manhunt Thriller Series â Premieres Friday, November 13th on Apple TV
Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan make an interesting pair. They showed off their unique chemistry in the 2019 time-traveling horror thriller Synchronic, playing two New Orleans paramedics who stumble upon a mysterious designer street drug that causes some pretty bizarre and terrifying side effects. Now, the two actors are reuniting for 12 12 12, an upcoming heist thriller series that trades time travel for a high-stakes game of cat and mouse across Europe. This time around, however, Mackie and Dornan arenât partners. Theyâre on opposite sides of the law, with Dornan playing a career criminal planning an elaborate robbery and Mackie as the disgraced FBI agent determined to bring him down.
Created by British television writers and producers Dudi Appleton and Jim Keeble (Wild Bill), and also starring Agathe Rousselle, Jack Kesy, Sallie Harmsen, Kali Reis, José Garcia, and Julius Feldmeier, the eight-episode crime thriller suggests that pulling off the perfect caper takes 12 months of planning, 12 hours of execution, and 12 days to get away without getting caught.
The series follows that meticulously planned effort as a heist targeting a hidden bank vault beneath the streets of Zurich goes from a seemingly foolproof plan to a desperate race to escape with the loot. But rather than telling the story in a straight line from beginning to end, 12 12 12 jumps between three different timelines, revealing how the robbery was planned, how it all went down, and what happens when the criminals have just 12 days to disappear before the authorities catch up with them.
So itâs Mackie versus Dornan in a battle of wits, with one determined to pull off the perfect crime and the other equally determined to make sure he doesnât get away with it. Who will outsmart whom? And will all that careful planning actually pay off? Weâll find out when 12 12 12 debuts Friday, November 13th, on Apple TV with a two-episode premiere.

đș âThe Landâ Trailer: Christopher Meloni, Mandy Moore, Chloe Bennet, Omar Epps, and William H. Macy Star in Dan Fogelmanâs New Football Franchise Drama Series â Premieres Monday, February 15, 2027 on Hulu and Disney+
Hereâs the thing about football: most people think all the drama happens on the field, but sometimes the real action takes place behind the scenes. In this new Hulu original series from This Is Us and Paradise creator Dan Fogelman, the Cleveland Browns are at the center of a family drama that takes us behind the scenes of one of the NFLâs most storied franchises, from the locker room to the front office. Christopher Meloni stars as head coach Danny Roarke, who faces a make-or-break season after years of disappointing results. His last hope rests on a newly drafted quarterback (Sam Corlett), who just happens to be his estranged son. Meanwhile, off the field, thereâs no shortage of family feuds, personal rivalries, and power struggles, with Mandy Moore, William H. Macy, Chace Crawford, Bridget Moynahan, Chloe Bennet, and Omar Epps rounding out the cast. Itâs a reminder that football can be a vicious game, but sometimes itâs nothing compared to what goes on behind closed doors.
đș âThe Gilded Age: Season 4â Trailer: Carrie Coon, Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon, DenĂ©e Benton, and Morgan Spector Return for More High-Society Rivalries in HBOâs Acclaimed Period Series â Premieres Sunday, November 1st on HBO and HBO Max
The more things change, the more they stay the same. And this new season of HBOâs acclaimed period drama isnât doing much to prove that old saying wrong. Often described as the American version of Downton Abbey, and funnily enough, coming from the same creator, Julian Fellowes, The Gilded Age returns for a fourth season to explore the class divisions of 1880s New York, where old money, new fortunes, elitism, and social ambition continue to clash in ways that feel remarkably familiar. Carrie Coon, Morgan Spector, Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon, DenĂ©e Benton, Louisa Jacobson, Phylicia Rashad, and Audra McDonald, among others, return as characters from different corners of New York society, each with their own aspirations, loyalties, and social standing to protect. It was a time of extraordinary wealth, but also deep social divisions and a class struggle that, in many ways, continues to this day. Which makes the show feel less like a history lesson and more like looking into a dusty old mirror.
đș âBaywatchâ Trailer: Stephen Amell Leads a New Generation of Lifeguards in FOXâs Reboot of the Iconic Beachside Drama, Co-Starring Shay Mitchell, Livvy Dunne, and Jessica Belkin â Coming January 2027
The summer might be over, but this winter is about to get a whole lot hotter. âCuz this January, the beach is back in business, and so are those iconic red swimsuits. Arrow star Stephen Amell leads this new Baywatch reboot as Hobie Buchannon, the son of David Hasselhoffâs iconic character Mitch Buchannon, who now heads up his own team of lifeguards along the Southern California coast. And like dear old Dad, Hobie has his hands full, juggling dangerous rescues and a team of lifeguards who bring plenty of problems of their own. Joining in the beachy fun are Shay Mitchell, Jessica Belkin, Hassie Harrison, Noah Beck, and Livvy Dunne, along with a few familiar faces from the original series. Executive produced by original series creators Michael Berk, Gregory J. Bonann, and Douglas Schwartz, with Burn Notice creator Matt Nix serving as showrunner, the reboot hopes to bring back everything that made the original a worldwide hit: beautiful people in red swimsuits, the sun-soaked beaches of Los Angeles, daring beachside rescues, and plenty of soap opera-style romance and drama.

High school can be hell for some. But at this particular all-girls Catholic school, the devil might have something to do with it. In this new Netflix miniseries from Not Okay writer-director Quinn Shephard, a Halloween initiation gone wrong sends an all-girls dance squad spiraling into Catholic guilt, teen angst, girl drama and a troubling mystery surrounding one of their own. Starring Sofia Wylie, Kristina Bogic, Sara Boustany, Geena Meszaros, Jackson Kelly, Shirley Chen, Emily Roman, Josh Cruddas, Gabriela Windey, and Nnamdi Asomugha, this looks like a sinful mix of dark humor and satanic horror, as the girls begin experiencing seemingly prophetic visions that send their entire school into a frenzy. Are they witnessing divine intervention, or is this just another case of teenage hysteria? Either way, these girls have some serious praying and confessing to do. And boy, do they have a lot to confess. Who said Catholic school girls were such angels? Sometimes the devil wears a cheerleading uniform.
đș âYellowjackets: Season 4â Final Season Teaser Trailer: The Survivors Are Finally Coming Home in Showtimeâs Acclaimed Mystery Thriller, Starring Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Sophie Thatcher, Sophie NĂ©lisse and Jasmin Savoy Brown â Premieres Friday, November 20th on Paramount+ Premium with Showtime
It started with an all-girls high school soccer team. Then came a devastating plane crash and some questionable decisions about survival. From there, things only got stranger, with homicidal urges, woodland cults, and more than a few eyebrow-raising rituals. Before long, there were dark secrets and plenty of dead bodies, all wrapped up in a healthy dose of â90s nostalgia. Nearly thirty years later, the surviving teammates are still dealing with the fallout, and their reunions have a habit of bringing those buried secrets back to the surface. Now, with Season 4, itâs all about to come to an end. Showtimeâs mystery thriller became one of the rare cable shows to generate some serious buzz in an era dominated by streaming. Along the way, it helped put breakout stars like Sophie Thatcher, Sophie NĂ©lisse, and Jasmin Savoy Brown on the map, while giving Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, and Tawny Cypress plenty of opportunities to deliver Emmy-worthy performances. Once again jumping back and forth between past and present, this fourth and final season will finally reveal how the girls made it back home after surviving 19 months in the wilderness.
đș âSt. Denis Medical: Season 3â Trailer: David Alan Grier Returns to the Hospital, Only to Find Damon Wayans Has Taken His Place in NBCâs Medical Workplace Comedy with Wendi McLendon-Covey, Allison Tolman, and Josh Lawson â Returns Monday, November 2nd on NBC, Streaming Next Day on Peacock
You know how The Pitt has been winning all these awards for its compelling, realistic portrayal of the everyday struggles of working in a hospital emergency room? Well, this NBC sitcom is kinda like that, but minus all the awards, the gritty realism, and, well, most of the medical accuracy. What you get instead is a workplace comedy about a group of eccentric doctors, nurses, and hospital staff who are just trying to make it through another shift without completely losing their minds... or their jobs. David Alan Grier returns as Dr. Ron, whoâs fresh off heart surgery and already butting heads with the new doctor who filled in for him while he was away, played by fellow In Living Color alum Damon Wayans. Meanwhile, Wendi McLendon-Covey is back as Joyce, the hospital administrator trying to keep the whole underfunded operation from falling apart, with Allison Tolman, Josh Lawson, Kahyun Kim, and Mekki Leeper also returning for another round of medical mishaps and workplace drama.

In this era of cancel culture and public scrutiny, itâs good to know thereâs still a road to redemption for someone looking to make amends. But for Tracy Morganâs Reggie Dinkins, that comeback is a little more complicated than most. In this second season of NBCâs comedy, the disgraced former football star continues his quest to rebuild his reputation. The only problem is that he keeps stumbling over his own mistakes. But with the help of a washed-up filmmaker (Daniel Radcliffe), who could use a comeback of his own, Reggie might just have a fighting chance at getting his life back on track. That is, if he can keep his foot out of his mouth long enough to earn the publicâs forgiveness. Co-starring Erika Alexander, Bobby Moynihan, Precious Way, and Jalyn Hall, hereâs one sitcom where the laughs come at the expense of a man who just canât seem to get out of his own way.

đș âThe Chosen: Season 6â Trailer: Jonathan Roumie Returns as Jesus in the Final Hours Before the Crucifixion as Dallas Jenkinsâ Biblical Drama â Premieres Sunday, November 15th on Prime Video

This time around, the popular series takes us into the final hours of Jesus of Nazareth, with Jonathan Roumie returning as Jesus as he makes his way toward the crucifixion. Roumie is joined by returning cast members Shahar Isaac as Simon Peter, Paras Patel as Matthew, Elizabeth Tabish as Mary Magdalene, and Luke Dimyan as Judas, among others. And while we all know how this story ends, itâs the people caught up in those final hours, and how they deal with whatâs coming, that could make this chapter especially gripping and heartbreaking.
