📺 “The Boys: Season 5” Teaser Trailer: Homelander Tightens His Supe Dictatorship as Amazon’s Ultra-Violent Satire Reaches Its Explosive Final Chapter — Premiering April 8th, 2026 on Prime Video
When The Boys first launched back in 2019, the state of the entertainment industry was a much different landscape than it is now. For one, the MCU had such a stronghold on the movie business, it was hard to imagine the superhero genre ever loosening its grip on pop culture. Which is exactly why a show like The Boys could swoop in and start poking holes in the whole thing.
And as the show got more political, so did its hard satirical jabs, hitting directly on targets of America’s obsession with patriotic hero symbolism as well as an increasingly pernicious culture fixated on celebrity, fame, and the never-ending churn of media spectacle. There were even moments in several episodes when life seemed to imitate art, though more often, the show was simply keeping up with daily absurdities unfolding in the real world. Which is a hard notion to take in, as The Boys is set in a world where superheroes not only exist but are, more often than not, egomaniacal psychopaths with way too much power and control over the world. It’s an über-violent, ultra-graphic superhero lampoon that should play like pure ridiculous fantasy, yet it’s hard to shake the sense that parts of the show are brushing right up against real life.
Homelander (played deliciously by Antony Starr) might as well be the stand-in for any despot in the world today... a shallow, thin-skinned egotist whose power flourishes on fear, adoration, and the constant need to be told he’s the greatest thing that’s ever lived. Now, some might say he sounds a lot like someone we already know, but to be fair, Homelander can represent just about any public figure propped up by bluster, insecurity, and a fanbase eager to worship at the altar of ego. Which again makes this show something more than just a raunchy, blood-soaked action spoof, poking fun at modern-day superhero mania where cape-and-cowl worship has practically become its own religion.
Well, it’s been six years since The Boys first premiered and a lot has happened. The superhero genre is not as dominant as it once was. Although still in high demand, the popularity of superheroes may have finally hit its peak. So, it would make sense that the Amazon original series would take its final bow with this new fifth season. After all, there’s not much to say other than this: Homelander is a cancer, and he has to be cut out and destroyed before he spreads his rot any further. The question is, if the risk is death, who among The Boys is actually willing to take that shot?
The end was always going to be messy. And for The Boys, messy doesn’t even begin to cover the carnage waiting in its fifth and final season. Season 5 drops us into a full-blown Supe dictatorship, where Homelander rules by tantrum and terror. Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), and Frenchie (Tomer Capone) have been locked away in something called a “Freedom Camp,” which is exactly as cheerful as it sounds. Meanwhile, Annie (Erin Moriarty) is out there trying to spark a rebellion, while Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) is laying low and waiting for the right moment to pounce.
But just when things look truly hopeless, Butcher (Karl Urban) resurfaces. Broken, dying, and still somehow ready to scorch the earth with a Supe-killing virus that could end the fight once and for all, he rallies the troops for one final mission to kill Homelander. It might be their final assignment, as there’s a good chance they won’t be coming back in one piece.
With showrunner Eric Kripke back at the helm, joined by returning cast members Colby Minifie as Vought’s new CEO Ashley Barrett, Susan Heyward as Sister Sage, Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy, and Giancarlo Esposito as ex-Vought honcho Stan Edgar, among others, the series is setting things up for an explosive finale where fireworks aren’t just expected—they’re inevitable.
Based on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s best-selling comic, with Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg remaining onboard as executive producers, The Boys: Season 5 will roll out with a two-episode premiere on April 8, 2026, followed by weekly drops leading up to the epic series finale on May 20, 2026.
So buckle up. The end of The Boys is coming... and it’s going to hurt in all the right ways.

📺 “Paradise: Season 2” Teaser: Sterling K. Brown Pushes Into New Territory as Hulu’s Genre-Twisting Conspiracy Thriller Returns With Julianne Nicholson and James Marsden — Premiering Mon, February 23rd on Hulu/Disney+
One of the most twisty, plot-turning TV shows to come out in recent years didn’t come from the mind of, say, Stephen King, nor Breaking Bad’s Vince Gilligan (although we’ve heard good things about his new show Pluribus), nor did it come from the usual heavy hitters; it came from the people who brought you This Is Us, perhaps one of the most weepy, heart-string-tugging dramas ever put on television.
Paradise, for which Season One was released at the start of last year, was sold as your standard political thriller—one where the U.S. president turns up dead, a reluctant protagonist gets pulled into the investigation, and soon he’s either the prime suspect or becomes the person destined to crack the case. Here’s the thing: it was marketed so convincingly that when the twist hit, it really hit. And for many viewers like ourselves, it delivered a full-blown “what the fuck” moment, abruptly shifting the show from a political thriller with a murder mystery at its center into something far more aligned with a science-fiction-leaning, post-apocalyptic shocker where the president’s murder was just the opening act.
Starring This Is Us alum Sterling K. Brown as Special Agent Xavier Collins, who was the lead agent on the president’s Secret Service detail when he was pulled into the murder investigation, Paradise Season 2 picks up immediately after the shocking events of the Season 1 finale. Xavier now fully understands the president’s murder was no accident, nor the end of this mystery, and he’s determined to reconnect with his presumed-dead wife after learning she may be one of the many survivors who lived through the aftermath of the “Day One” event.
This new season will follow Xavier as he treks through uncharted scorched territory, searching for clues to his wife’s whereabouts. Meanwhile, back home in so-called “paradise,” the fallout from Xavier’s failed insurrection pushes the public to question the people in power even more. And Paradise program founder Samantha “Sinatra” Redmond (played by returning Emmy-winner Julianne Nicholson) might be facing some long-overdue reckoning as her power begins to fracture under the weight of everything she’s kept hidden.
Also returning for Season 2 are Sarah Shahi as Dr. Gabriela Torabi; Nicole Brydon Bloom as shady Special Agent Jane Driscoll; Krys Marshall as Secret Service agent Nicole Robinson; Aliyah Mastin as Xavier’s teen daughter, Presley; and Charlie Evans as the late president’s teen son, Jeremy Bradford. Speaking of which, James Marsden will be back this season as President Cal Bradford—despite being dead—thanks to the show’s reliance on flashbacks and time jumps. With that in mind, Jon Beavers is also returning as Special Agent William “Billy” Pace, likely to dig deeper into his dark history with the Paradise program before he became Xavier’s partner.
Meanwhile, Shailene Woodley (Big Little Lies) and Thomas Doherty (Gossip Girl reboot) will be joining the Season 2 cast this year.
Paradise creator Dan Fogelman has said he built this show with the plan of having a three-season master arc and that Season 2 should be viewed as the “middle movie” of a trilogy. Well, if Season 1 was a locked-room mystery dressed as a doomsday thriller, Season 2 looks ready to blow the bunker doors off for good.
Paradise Season 2 is slated to premiere its first three episodes Monday, February 23rd on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+, with new episodes dropping weekly.
📺 “A Thousand Blows: Season 2” Trailer: Emmy-winners Erin Doherty and Stephen Graham Reunite and Reignite Their Electric Chemistry in Steven Knight’s Brutal 1880-Era London Underworld Series with Malachi Kirby — Debuts Fri, January 9th on Hulu/Disney+
Having just won her first Emmy Award this year for playing a child psychologist trying to hold it together in Netflix’s hit miniseries Adolescence, Erin Doherty isn’t one to slow down, nor is she trying to stay in the same lane. She taps into a darker, more unpredictable edge in Season 2 of A Thousand Blows, stepping into territory that’s miles away from her breakout role.
Doherty once again reunites with Adolescence co-star Stephen Graham, playing Mary Carr, the razor-sharp thief and leader of the Forty Elephants trying to survive the crime-infested streets of 1880 London’s East End. Think Gangs of New York... only in London. And only Doherty’s Mary Carr might be the biggest menace of them all.
Created by Peaky Blinders mastermind Steven Knight but sparked by Stephen Graham’s fascination with a set of real historical photos he discovered, A Thousand Blows is set in the gritty 1880s London underworld where bare-knuckle boxing drives both spectacle and survival. The series follows Hezekiah Moscow (played by Malachi Kirby), a Jamaican immigrant chasing a fresh start in England, only to find himself pulled into the brutal fight circuits. He’s reshaped into a rising bare-knuckle boxer under the guidance of Doherty’s Mary Carr. And Mary isn’t helping out of kindness; she’s leveraging Hezekiah’s ascent to tighten her grip on power within the Forty Elephants, her formidable all-female gang of thieves.
Graham takes on the role of Sugar Goodson, a bare-knuckle champion who is also the most feared kingpin in all of London’s East End. He rules the streets the same way he dominates in the ring… with brute force, ruthless precision, and a reputation that keeps even the boldest rivals from stepping out of line.
Based on real historical figures, Season 2 raises the stakes to bone-cracking levels as Hezekiah and Mary climb higher into London’s criminal hierarchy. Meanwhile, Sugar watches his empire wobble, and the city inches toward a full-blown street war no one can control. With survival as the only rule, every blow carries consequence, and every fighter has something — or someone — to lose.
Doherty and Graham reunite after both of their Emmy-winning turns in Adolescence, though here their performances are far meaner and more combustible. New Season 2 additions include Jason Tobin, James Nelson-Joyce, Darci Shaw, Daniel Mays, Adam Nagaitis, and more.
It’s a battle between old and new, tradition and transformation, and A Thousand Blows looks ready to fight dirty when Season 2 premieres Friday, January 9th on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
📺 “The ‘Burbs” Teaser: Keke Palmer and Jack Whitehall Unravel Neighborhood Secrets in Peacock’s Small-Screen Remake of Joe Dante’s Tom Hanks-Starring Cult ‘80s Dark Comedy — Premiering Sun, February 8th on Peacock
Moving to the suburbs was always supposed to be the dream: a quiet street, a home to call your own, a place to finally settle in and raise your kids. But what happens when the neighborhood you’ve moved into now has that strange little house in the corner? You know, the one with neighbors everyone else seems to whisper about? The rumors get so wild that you and your next-door buddies decide there’s only one thing left to do: stake them out and catch them red-handed in whatever it is everyone’s convinced they’re up to.
Now if you’re saying to yourself, well, that sounds a whole lot like the plotline for Joe Dante’s 1989 dark comedy The ‘Burbs, starring a young Tom Hanks as a nosy neighbor who gets more than he bargained for after spying on the suspicious house down the street... yeah, you’re right. The cult ‘80s classic, like many films of its era, has gotten a modern-day makeover. But this time, the redo has been stretched into a limited series for Peacock, and it feels more like a reimagining of Only Murders in the Building than an actual remake. Then again, that could just be the vibe we’re getting from this new sneak-peek teaser.
In this small-screen redo, Nope’s Keke Palmer takes the lead, starring opposite British comedian Jack Whitehall as a newly married couple who move back into the husband’s childhood home. But while they were expecting quiet nights and maybe the occasional HOA squabble, they instead stumble into a full-on cul-de-sac crisis once they learn about their creepy-looking neighbors. With rumors swirling about murders and long-buried secrets at the house on the corner, a small circle of meddlesome neighbors — led by Palmer’s character — starts poking around to see what’s really going on. What begins as harmless curiosity quickly spirals into a situation where fence lines are crossed, boundaries are pushed, and the entire block is soon dragged into total disorder.
Also starring TV vet Julia Duffy (Newhart), SNL writer/comic Paula Pell, What We Do in the Shadows breakout Mark Proksch, and Kapil Talwalkar, along with recurring turns from Justin Kirk, Haley Joel Osment, and RJ Cyler, the series is executive produced by Celeste Hughey and Rachel Shukert, along with Family Guy mastermind Seth MacFarlane and mega-producer Brian Grazer, with Palmer also serving as a producer.
Emmy-nominated helmer Nzingha Stewart, of Daisy Jones & the Six, directs the pilot episode.
The ‘Burbs is set to premiere Sunday, February 8th on Peacock. So, word to the wise: lock your doors. You never know when your nosy neighbor is near.
