đș âDIGâ Trailer: Amy Poehler and Hugh Laurie Lead a New Comedy Series From âParks and Recreationâ Creator Michael Schur, as a Group of Archaeologists in Greece Stumble Upon a Discovery Worth Fighting Over â Premiering Monday, November 23rd on Peacock
Look, as much as Amy Poehler seems comfortable hosting a popular podcast and chatting with celebrities, what we really want to see her doing is leading a comedy series again. So, thank heavens, Poehler is returning to scripted television this November, reuniting with Parks and Recreation showrunner Michael Schur for a new comedy-mystery series that takes her all the way to Greece, where an archaeological dig becomes the center of some pretty wild antics.
Based on Kate Myersâ novel Excavations, DIG has Poehler leading an ensemble cast that includes House icon Hugh Laurie, Miracle Workersâ Geraldine Viswanathan, The Good Doctorâs Antonia Thomas, and Paper Girlsâ Fina Strazza. The story follows a group of archaeologists and college students whose summer excavation takes an unexpected turn when they uncover a rare artifact that could rewrite history. Their discovery, however, becomes something they feel they need to keep under wraps, especially since their arrogant boss (Laurie) has a habit of taking control and claiming all the credit for himself.
Dead set on not letting anyone steal the credit for a discovery that could make their careers, the ladies make a pact to keep their find a secret until theyâre ready to reveal it to the world. But keeping something this big under wraps proves a lot harder than expected, especially when simple curiosity turns into outright suspicion.
Also co-starring Kayvan Novak, Jon Pointing, and Bonita Friedericy, the series features a pilot co-written by Poehler and Schur, with writer-producer J.J. Philbin serving as co-showrunner alongside Schur. DIG not only welcomes Amy Poehler back to scripted comedy but also gives Hugh Laurie a chance to chew up the scenery as an overbearing archaeologist who seems determined to make himself the most important person at the dig site.
All 10 episodes of DIG are set to premiere Monday, November 23rd, on Peacock.

đș âPride and Prejudiceâ Trailer: Emma Corrin and Jack Lowden Bring Jane Austenâs Timeless Tale of Love, Class, and Marriage Back to the Screen in Netflixâs New Six-Part Adaptation â Premiering Thursday, December 3rd on Netflix
Fun fact: Pride and Prejudice is the most frequently adapted of Jane Austenâs classic novels, having been brought to the big and small screens more times than most of us can count. But why? Well, Austenâs writing is one reason. Itâs devilishly clever, full of sharp observations, and a great example of that wonderfully dry British wit that can cut deeper than a knife, all while maintaining the politest of smiles. But perhaps the real reason Pride and Prejudice keeps finding its way back to the screen, generation after generation, is its timeless exploration of class, love, marriage, and the ridiculous lengths people will go to protect their social standing, even if it means sacrificing their own happiness.
This new six-episode limited series sees The Crownâs Emma Corrin taking on the lead role of Elizabeth Bennet, alongside Slow Horses star (and rumored James Bond contender) Jack Lowden as the wealthy but rather arrogant Mr. Darcy.
You already know the story: the Bennet sisters, whose family is facing financial uncertainty, find themselves under increasing pressure to marry well, not just for their own futures but for the sake of the entire family. In an era when marriage was one of the few ways women could climb the social ladder and secure their financial futures, the outspoken Elizabeth Bennet finds herself caught between societyâs expectations and her own stubborn convictions. And things only get more complicated when she crosses paths with Mr. Darcy, a man whose first impression leaves plenty to be desired, forcing her to question whether marrying for love is worth risking her future security.
Dolly Alderton, known for her bestselling memoir Everything I Know About Love, which she later adapted into a television series, takes on the challenge of bringing a fresh perspective to Austenâs beloved novel, while Heartstopper director Euros Lyn helms all six episodes of this latest adaptation.
Corrin and Lowden are joined by a stellar supporting cast that includes Oscar winner Olivia Colman as the marriage-obsessed Mrs. Bennet, The Diplomatâs Rufus Sewell as her husband, Mr. Bennet, Freya Mavor as Jane Bennet, Daryl McCormack as Mr. Bingley, Louis Partridge as Mr. Wickham, Jamie Demetriou as Mr. Collins, and Fiona Shaw as the formidable Lady Catherine de Bourgh.
With a new Sense and Sensibility movie hitting theaters just a few weeks ago, itâs turning out to be one hell of a year for Jane Austen fans. And they can mark their calendars for Thursday, December 3rd, when all six episodes of Pride and Prejudice premiere on Netflix.

đș âSweetpea: Season 2â Trailer: Ella Purnell Returns as a Newly Confident Serial Killer in This Dark Comedy British Thriller Series â Premieres Thursday, November 26th on Sky and NOW in the UK; Coming Soon in the US
Hereâs something you might not have known: Fallout star Ella Purnell is actually British... and yes, she has a British accent. And itâs still kind of weird hearing her speak in her native accent. But hereâs the thing. As well as she plays the innocent, wide-eyed, post-apocalyptic survivor in Fallout, sheâs anything but innocent in this darkly comic thriller series, which brings her back to her home country of England. This time, Purnell plays Rhiannon Lewis, a seemingly harmless young English woman who goes from being an overlooked wallflower to a full-blown serial killer, discovering that murder might just be the confidence boost she never knew she needed. Season 2 deals with the fallout (no pun intended. Okay, pun intended) from her actions in Season 1. But Rhiannon will soon discover that getting away with murder is one thing. Keeping her deadly little secret buried is another, especially when a copycat killer enters the picture and threatens to expose everything sheâs done.

đș âInstadocs: Jane Doe v. Cornellâ Trailer: Netflix Doc Examines Sexual Assault Allegations, Campus Protests, and The Controversial Lawsuit Against Cornell University â Streaming Now, Thursday, October 29th on Netflix
Netflix has come up with an interesting documentary series that offers short, investigative installments, usually running around 30 minutes or more, periodically tackling some of the most hotly debated topics making headlines today. You could almost call it Netflixâs answer to Dateline, with each installment taking a closer look at a different controversy or scandal. This time around, itâs the sexual assault case at Cornell University, where a former student identified only as Jane Doe alleges she was drugged and sexually assaulted at a fraternity house party. Was her story properly investigated? Did the university fail to protect her? Were the students involved given preferential treatment because of their status on campus? Or was this another case of a young woman struggling to be heard by the very institutions meant to protect her? The documentary follows student journalists investigating the allegations while examining how Cornellâs campus police and Title IX procedures handled the case, raising some uncomfortable questions about accountability, due process, and whether these systems are fundamentally flawed.
đș âOJâs Accompliceâ Trailer: Did O.J. Simpson Act Alone? Peacockâs Two-Part True-Crime Documentary Explores the Possibility That Someone From O.J.âs Inner Circle Was Involved â Streams Sunday, November 1st on Peacock
Letâs be frank, this feels a bit exploitative and a little sensationalistic, especially when you consider how many times the O.J. Simpson murder trial has already been dissected and debated over the years. But we also canât deny that plenty of theories have been floated since the shocking murders, including the possibility that Simpson didnât act alone. And with the seemingly endless stream of true-crime documentaries showing no signs of slowing down, this two-part Peacock special revisits the case yet again, this time asking whether someone from Simpsonâs inner circle may have been involved in the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. Just when we thought there couldnât possibly be another angle left to explore, along comes another documentary determined to prove us wrong.
đș âIt Gets Worseâ Trailer: Leo Reich, Emily Fairn, and Olive Gray Play Three Broke Twenty-Somethings Trying to Survive Adulthood After Getting Evicted in This British Comedy Series, With Guest Appearances by Lena Dunham and Andrew Scott â Streams Friday, November 6th on Paramount+
Thereâs a universal truth that the younger you are, the more mistakes youâre going to make. Throw in the stress of growing up and figuring out adulthood, and those mistakes are only going to get bigger, messier, and a whole lot harder to fix. British comedian Leo Reich takes that idea and runs with it in a new comedy series he created and stars in. He plays one of three twenty-something friends in London who are barely keeping their lives together when they suddenly find themselves evicted from their flat (apartment), making their already messy transition into adulthood even messier. Also starring Emily Fairn, Olive Gray, and Sean Delaney, with guest appearances from Lena Dunham and Andrew Scott, the series suggests that being in your 20s is less about having your whole life ahead of you and more about wondering how the hell youâre supposed to get through the next day when rent is due.
đș âApollo Has Fallen: Season 2â Trailer: Ritu Arya and Tewfik Jallab Race Across Europe to Stop a Deadly Virus in Huluâs Action-Espionage Thriller â Streaming Now on Hulu / Disney+
Have you watched a spy movie or espionage series lately? Well, if you go by Hollywoodâs rules, weâre always just moments away from total destruction. Whereâs Jack Bauer when you need him? Well, this British action series returns for its second season, playing by those same rules with a high-stakes, nerve-wracking thriller that sends two agents (played by The Umbrella Academyâs Ritu Arya and Tewfik Jallab) racing across Europe to stop a deadly virus from being unleashed. The clock is ticking. And so is our patience. A follow-up to the French-English series Paris Has Fallen and part of the larger Has Fallen film franchise, this latest installment suggests it takes more than a few good agents to save the world from disaster. It takes agents willing to go rogue.
đș âToos: The Van der Valk Kidnappingâ Trailer: Frank Lammers and Lies Visschedijk Star in Netflixâs Dutch True-Crime Thriller About a Wealthy Familyâs Terrifying 20-Day Kidnapping Ordeal â Premieres Thursday, November 26th on Netflix
Just the thought of one of your loved ones being taken against their will immediately raises the stakes to a whole new level. But at the core of it all is trust. How do you trust the very people who took them? How can you be sure theyâll keep their word and return them safely once the ransom is paid? That seems to be at the heart of this new Dutch true-crime thriller miniseries. Inspired by a real-life kidnapping in the Netherlands in 1982, the series revolves around a wealthy Dutch hotel owner (Frank Lammers) whose beloved wife (Lies Visschedijk) is abducted and held for ransom, leaving his family scrambling to meet the kidnappersâ financial demands without any real assurance that theyâll ever see her alive again. Co-starring Juda Goslinga as a detective investigating the case, this looks like an emotional gut punch of a thriller, where every passing day brings more unbearable uncertainty and the chances of a happy ending seem to grow slimmer.
