🎥 “Godzilla Minus Zero” New Trailer: The King of the Monsters Returns in Director Takashi Yamazaki’s Highly Anticipated Sequel to the Oscar-Winning ‘Godzilla Minus One,’ Starring Ryunosuke Kamiki and Minami Hamabe — IMAX Early Access November 3rd, In Theaters November 6th
When you’re dealing with a giant monster like Godzilla, you’re gonna need a pretty big screen to accommodate all that size and girth. And what better way to experience the King of the Monsters than on a massive IMAX screen? Well, that’s exactly what Oscar-winning visual effects artist and filmmaker Takashi Yamazaki has in mind for his highly anticipated sequel, Godzilla Minus Zero, which marks the first Japanese production filmed specifically for IMAX.
So audiences will get to experience Godzilla the way he was meant to be experienced: on a massive screen, with plenty of looking up and jaws dropping at the sheer scale of the destruction unfolding before their eyes. Sounds like one hell of a way to spend a night at the movies.
Returning for this eagerly awaited sequel are Ryunosuke Kamiki and Minami Hamabe as Koichi and Noriko Shikishima, with the story picking up in 1949, two years after the devastating events of Godzilla Minus One. Japan is still struggling to rebuild after the war and Godzilla’s rampage, but just as the country begins to find some sense of normalcy, a new seismic threat emerges, threatening to wipe out everything they’ve worked so hard to reclaim.
And with a tagline like “Fight Fire with Fire,” it certainly sounds as though Godzilla’s unexpected return might not be the only monstrous threat the Japanese people will have to worry about this time around. Could something else have risen from the depths? Something just as terrifying as Godzilla himself? Well, if that’s the case, we might be in for one hell of a monster showdown.
Mark your calendars! Godzilla Minus Zero will have special IMAX early-access screenings on November 3rd, as part of Godzilla Day, before stomping into theaters nationwide on November 6th.
Coming off the massive box office success of Godzilla Minus One, Toho’s legendary monster has found a whole new level of popularity, and Godzilla Minus Zero looks ready to build on that momentum. So don’t be surprised if the lines for tickets end up being almost as big as the kaiju himself.

🎥 “The Exorcist: Martyrs” Trailer: Scarlett Johansson Investigates a Series of Satanic Murders in Mike Flanagan’s New Take on the Classic Horror Franchise, Co-Starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, John Leguizamo, Laurence Fishburne and More — In Theaters March 12th, 2027
If there’s one horror franchise desperately in need of a resurrection, The Exorcist has to be pretty high on the list. But who would be brave enough to take on that challenge, especially after director David Gordon Green’s attempt to breathe new life into the series with 2023’s The Exorcist: Believer was met with a rather lukewarm reception?
Well, apparently, horror filmmaker Mike Flanagan is willing to give it a shot. After all, he’s become something of an expert at adapting Stephen King’s work, having tackled Gerald’s Game, Doctor Sleep, and The Life of Chuck, along with a more recent retelling of Carrie for Prime Video. And considering his track record of taking beloved material and finding something fresh and compelling to say with it, he might just be the filmmaker this franchise needs. At least, we freakin’ hope so. Fingers crossed.
In Flanagan’s The Exorcist: Martyrs, Scarlett Johansson stars as Detective Julie Miller, a New York City cop and single mother who finds herself investigating a series of gruesome murders with an unsettling connection to a case from her past. One that still haunts her thirteen years later.
Back then, Julie brought down a notorious satanic serial killer known as Father Sunday (John Leguizamo), earning herself a reputation as something of a local hero. But when a new killer leaves her name written in an altar boy’s blood inside a church crypt, she’s dragged right back into a nightmare she thought she’d left behind.
With the help of a former prison chaplain (Chiwetel Ejiofor) and a rookie detective (Sasha Calle), Julie begins uncovering a disturbing connection between some of history’s most notorious serial killers. And the deeper she digs, the more she begins to suspect that whatever is behind these murders might not be entirely human.
Interestingly enough, this first trailer is playing things pretty coy when it comes to the whole Exorcist connection. There’s plenty of Catholic imagery, satanic murders, and talk of an ancient evil, but very little to suggest how any of this ties into the franchise’s familiar themes of demonic possession and exorcisms.
Some eagle-eyed viewers, however, have pointed out what they believe are hints that Johansson’s Detective Julie Miller could somehow be connected to Lieutenant William F. Kinderman, played by George C. Scott in The Exorcist III. Whether there’s anything to that theory remains to be seen.
Judging by his more recent work, Flanagan has become increasingly comfortable taking familiar material, in this case the world created by William Peter Blatty in his classic novels, and finding ways to make it feel fresh and distinctly his own. And perhaps that’s exactly what The Exorcist franchise needs right now: a filmmaker willing to try something different without forgetting what made the original so damn terrifying in the first place.
Because when you get right down to it, one of the most frightening things about the original wasn’t just the demonic possession or the shocking imagery. It was the horrifying idea of a mother being completely powerless to protect her child from pure evil. And that’s the kind of terror that doesn’t need much reinventing.
Co-starring Diane Lane, Jacobi Jupe, Carla Gugino, Gil Bellows, Scoot McNairy, and Laurence Fishburne, The Exorcist: Martyrs is set to hit theaters on March 12, 2027.

🎥 “The Last Temptation of Becky” Trailer: Lulu Wilson Is Back and Hunting Nazis for the CIA in the Bloody Third Chapter, with Neil Patrick Harris Playing a Nazis Villain — Hitting Select Theaters November 4th
Who the hell is Becky Hooper? Well, if you’re a dumbass Nazi who happens to cross her path, she’ll probably be the last person you see before the lights go out... permanently.
Actress Lulu Wilson has become one hell of an unlikely action hero, leading a horror-tinged action franchise that started out as a twisted take on the home invasion thriller but has somehow evolved into a blood-soaked, Nazi-killing dark comedy with plenty of action, revenge, and a seriously twisted sense of humor.
Over the course of the films, Wilson’s Becky Hooper has gone from a seemingly innocent, if somewhat disturbed, teenage girl fighting for her life to a pint-sized killing machine with a particular talent for taking down violent extremists. And after two movies of bloody revenge, she’s back for a third round, this time with a CIA badge and a whole new batch of Nazis to deal with.
In The Last Temptation of Becky, our pint-sized killing machine is now working as an undercover CIA operative. Her latest assignment sends her to Poland, where she checks into a secluded lodge near Hitler’s former Wolf’s Lair headquarters. Posing as an ordinary tourist just passing through, Becky is actually there to investigate the activities of General Wilhelm Reuss (Neil Patrick Harris... yes, that NPH), who’s plotting to establish a Fourth Reich from the basement of his family-owned establishment. Unfortunately for him, he’s about to find out that his seemingly innocent American guest is anything but harmless. She’s there to do what she does best: kick some Nazi ass and leave a bloody mess behind.
Cult horror filmmaker Jenn Wexler (The Ranger, The Sacrifice Game) takes over directing duties for this third installment, moving the franchise into espionage territory without seemingly abandoning the bloody violence and dark humor that made the first two movies such guilty pleasures.
Kate Siegel, James Urbaniak, and Brandon Flynn also star in this latest chapter of a series that somehow keeps getting more outrageous, more violent, and increasingly ridiculous with each new outing. And really, isn’t that part of the fun?
The Last Temptation of Becky is set for a limited theatrical release on November 4th. Nazis aren’t welcome.

🎥 “Heartland” Trailer: Jessica Chastain Returns to Country Music as a Tough-as-Nails Singer Searching for Her Missing Niece in Netflix’s Nashville Mystery Thriller with Garrett Hedlund — Premiering November 13th on Netflix
Jessica Chastain earned an Oscar for her portrayal of controversial televangelist Tammy Faye Bakker in The Eyes of Tammy Faye, a role that required her to undergo a remarkable physical transformation and even show off her singing chops for the first time. She later took those musical talents into the world of country music, playing country legend Tammy Wynette opposite Michael Shannon’s George Jones in the acclaimed miniseries George & Tammy, earning herself an Emmy nomination. Now Chastain is heading back to Nashville, once again playing a country superstar, though this time she’s less concerned about her career and more focused on a deeply personal matter.
In Netflix’s new Southern mystery thriller Heartland, Chastain plays Misty Jones, a former country music sensation who comes out of seclusion when her niece, an aspiring country singer (Carter Faith), mysteriously disappears without a trace. Misty isn’t exactly some delicate wallflower. She’s a tough-as-nails Southern woman with little patience for bullshit or anyone trying to stand in her way. And she’s certainly not afraid to ruffle a few feathers if it means finding out what happened to her niece. Her search takes her into the seedier side of Nashville’s music business, where just about everyone seems to have something to hide, including Misty herself.
Written and directed by Shana Feste, who previously explored the country music scene in 2010’s Country Strong, the film reunites her with Garrett Hedlund, alongside a strong supporting cast that includes John Hawkes, Paul Sparks, singer Ross Lynch, and country star Jennifer Nettles. And judging by the trailer, the film looks to be an intriguing mix of Southern Gothic, mystery, and musical drama, making for one hell of a country music thriller.
Like they say, behind every country song there’s a story to tell. And apparently, some of those stories are born out of pain, the price of fame, the corruption that comes with success, and a few dirty secrets nobody in Nashville wants getting out.
Heartland is set to premiere on Netflix on November 13th.

🎥 “Marie Antoinette: 20th Anniversary” Trailer: Sofia Coppola’s Cult-Favorite Historical Drama Starring Kirsten Dunst Returns in a New 4K Restoration — Back In Select Theaters October 23rd; Streaming on MUBI November 6th
What’s Sofia Coppola’s best film? Many would argue it’s Lost in Translation, but there’s a growing appreciation for her once-divisive 2006 historical drama Marie Antoinette. Initially met with mixed reviews and disappointing box office returns, Coppola’s lavish, romanticized portrait of the ill-fated French queen has become something of a cult favorite over the past twenty years, with some now considering it among her finest work. Starring Kirsten Dunst as the young royal and Jason Schwartzman as Louis XVI, the film takes a rather unconventional approach to history, mixing extravagant costumes, pastel-colored interiors, and 18th-century decadence with a soundtrack packed with ‘70s and ‘80s new wave and punk rock music. What once seemed like an odd creative choice has since become one of the film’s most celebrated qualities. Now, to mark its 20th anniversary, MUBI is bringing the film back to theaters in a new 4K restoration, giving audiences another chance to revisit, reassess, and perhaps fully appreciate a film that may have been a little ahead of its time.
🎥 “Christmas at the Kringles” New Trailer: Ron Livingston and Rachel Bilson Face a Holiday Nightmare in This New Christmas Horror Comedy with Rob Riggle and Thomas Lennon — In Theaters October 30th
There’s something about a Christmas movie opening just in time for Halloween. You already know it’s probably not going to be your usual heartwarming holiday fare. From Kevin Lewis, the director of Willy’s Wonderland, comes this rather bizarre Christmas horror comedy about a suburban family whose overly festive neighbors might just be completely out of their minds. Ron Livingston and Rachel Bilson play Mark and Julie Severson, who move in next door to the Kringles (Thomas Lennon and Arden Myrin), a family that celebrates Christmas all year long. Harmless enough, right? Well, things take a nasty turn when their son becomes a little too attached to the neighbors, and Mark discovers there’s something far more sinister behind all that holiday cheer. Rob Riggle joins the madness as a rather unconventional Santa who helps Mark rescue his family from what might be the worst Christmas gathering imaginable. With Donald Faison, Beverly D’Angelo, and David Wain also joining the festivities, this looks like one seriously twisted Christmas party, with plenty of blood splatter, torture gear, and hopefully a few good belly laughs.
🎥 “Frank and Percy” U.K. Trailer: Ian McKellen and Roger Allam Find Unexpected Romance Later in Life in Sean Mathias’ Heartwarming British Drama-Comedy Based on Ben Weatherill’s Acclaimed Stage Play — Coming Soon
Ian McKellen is one of the most beloved actors around, having spent decades earning our admiration on stage and screen. Now, at 87, he’s finally getting the chance to show off his lighter, cheekier side in this heartwarming British romantic comedy about finding love later in life. McKellen plays Percy, an elderly bachelor who strikes up an unlikely friendship with Frank (Roger Allam), a widower he meets while walking their dogs on Hampstead Heath. What begins as casual conversations about the weather and the aches and pains of getting older slowly turns into something neither man expected. It begs the question: can romance still surprise you when you’ve reached an age where you thought those days were long behind you? Directed by Sean Mathias and adapted from Ben Weatherill’s acclaimed stage play, the film reunites McKellen and Allam in their original theatrical roles, with Stephen Fry, Joanna Lumley, Derek Jacobi, and Jessica Gunning rounding out the cast.
🎥 “Ali G: Who Iz I?” New Trailer: Sacha Baron Cohen Revives His Infamous Comedy Character for His Feature Directorial Debut — In Theaters for One Weekend Only, October 23rd
To be perfectly honest, it feels like Sacha Baron Cohen has reached that point in a comedian’s career where the old routine is starting to wear a little thin. But that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s run out of jokes. In fact, he’s bringing back one of his original characters, Ali G, for his feature directorial debut. After twenty years of doing pretty much nothing, the wannabe gangster discovers that his longtime girlfriend Julie (Morgana Robinson) is eight months pregnant. Suddenly faced with the prospect of fatherhood, Ali G heads to America to revive his career and hopefully make a little money before little G makes his grand entrance into the world. Naturally, that means more awkward encounters with unsuspecting people and plenty of his usual ridiculous behavior. Whether the joke still works after all these years remains to be seen, but Cohen certainly seems willing to give it another go. Respek!

Despite his fame, Stewart wants no special treatment, insisting on flying dangerous missions over Europe. But leading men into battle, and knowing some of them won’t be coming home, weighs heavily on him. When he finally returns home, the idea of going back to making movies doesn’t seem quite as important as it once did. But an offer from director Frank Capra (Max Casella) to star in It’s a Wonderful Life may be just what Stewart needs to rediscover his purpose... both as an actor and as a man.

Eckhart plays Steven Bay, a former cop suffering from amnesia who’s living on an isolated farm, trying to figure out who he used to be. Between violent nightmares, strange encounters, and the nagging feeling that someone’s watching him, Steven starts questioning whether he can trust his own memories. Emmanuelle Chriqui co-stars in this conspiracy-laden thriller from first-time feature director Tag Mendillo, which throws psychological paranoia into the usual mix of gunfights and action. As Steven searches for answers, he stumbles onto something involving surveillance, technology, and human experimentation. A sequel to the 2024 original, Spanish horror director Carles Torrens returns for another round of zombie mayhem. This time, the Canary Islands have become Europe’s last safe haven, but dwindling supplies force a group of survivors to head back to the infected Spanish mainland. Now, just in time for Halloween, the film is returning to UK and Irish cinemas in a new 4K restoration. Nicole Kidman stars as Grace, a deeply religious mother living in an isolated mansion with her two children, who suffer from a rare sensitivity to sunlight. With her husband missing after World War II, Grace keeps the house in near-total darkness. But when strange noises and mysterious visitors begin appearing, she suspects something supernatural has moved in. At a time when horror was becoming increasingly obsessed with torture and gore, the film went back to basics, reminding audiences that atmosphere, suspense, and a good old-fashioned ghost story could still scare the hell out of them.
