The world needs saving. And so does Marvel!
The Fantastic Four: First Steps — Final Trailer
(in theaters July 25th)
Let’s be frank: Marvel’s superhero high has come crashing down harder than Thor’s hammer in recent years. But back in 2008, Iron Man soared into theaters, launching the MCU in spectacular fashion—just as America was pinning its hopes on a new Obama administration. It was a moment tailor-made for a tech-savvy billionaire in a flying suit. Who didn’t love a little technocratic escapism during the recession, right?
But here in 2025? Things have changed. Cynicism's in, saviorism’s out, and Marvel’s box office glow is dimming faster than the arc reactor in Tony’s chest. With Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts barely making a dent, the MCU’s once-bulletproof formula is looking, well... rusty.
Enter The Fantastic Four: First Steps. It’s not just another reboot... it might be Marvel’s Hail Mary pass.
Set in a retro-futuristic 1960s-style world (think Jetsons with cosmic trauma), the film stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the new superhero squad grappling with powers, found family, and a giant planet-eating space god named Galactus. No pressure.
Director Matt Shakman (WandaVision) promises more human messiness than superhero perfection, with real emotional stakes and family dynamics at play.
Marvel’s banking big on this one. With disillusioned audiences and superhero fatigue looming like Galactus himself, it’s not just about saving the Earth... it’s about saving the brand itself. Can the Fantastic Four be Marvel’s fantastic fix? Find out July 25th.
The faster the fear spread, the slower the truth is revealed.
Weapons — New Trailer
(in theaters Aug. 8th)
When 17 kids vanish into the night, blame doesn't need proof... just a convenient scapegoat.
In writer-director Zach Cregger’s (Barbarian) latest descent into suburban dread, a small town unravels after 17 children from the same classroom walk out of their homes in the dead of night… and disappear. The parents are frantic, the theories wild, and the schoolteacher? Oh, she’s already on trial, at least in the court of public opinion.
Julia Garner plays Justine Gandy, the embattled Elementary teacher caught in the crosshairs of mass hysteria and conspiracy-fueled outrage. Josh Brolin is the grief-stricken dad demanding answers, while Benedict Wong, as the blood-soaked principal, may be losing his mind... or witnessing the spread of something far darker.
Tapping into modern-day paranoia and the way blame spreads faster than facts, Weapons is being billed as a “true story” you won’t find in the news... only in nightmares. Is it mass delusion? A supernatural phenomenon? Or something even worse?
With a cast that also includes Alden Ehrenreich, Amy Madigan, and Austin Abrams, Weapons is loaded with psychological tension, viral fear, and the creeping suspicion that the monsters might not be the kids... but the grownups trying to make sense of the madness.
Get ready to second-guess everything when Weapons hits theaters August 8th.
Most fugitives run. He, however, hid... right next to the toy aisle.
Roofman — Trailer
(in theaters Oct. 10th)
Breaking and entering has never been so… oddly comical.
Channing Tatum stars as Jeffrey Manchester, a soft-spoken fugitive who finds the ultimate hideout: the roof of a Charlotte Toys “R” Us. What follows is six months of covert candy-snacking, secret toy donations, and one highly questionable romance—all while the general manager (Peter Dinklage) wonders why the inventory keeps vanishing like magic.
Based on the stranger-than-fiction true story of “The Rooftop Robber” and directed by Blue Valentine’s Derek Cianfrance (yes, really), Roofman trades gritty trauma for light mischief and mid-shelf redemption. Add Kirsten Dunst as the love interest with no clue she’s dating a fugitive, and you’ve got a weirdly touching crime tale that tiptoes between caper and character study.
Also co-starring LaKeith Stanfield, Juno Temple, and Ben Mendelsohn, this offbeat crime comedy might just be this fall’s sleeper hit—where the getaway vehicle is a shopping cart, and rooting for the thief feels strangely justified.
Catch Roofman when it sneaks into theaters October 10th.
Worker bees die so the queen can live... Not this time!
Bugonia — Teaser Trailer
(in theaters Oct. 24th)
Oscar-nominated Greek filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos (Poor Things, The Favourite) and Oscar-winning actress Emma Stone are back! And this time, the bees are dying, the billionaires are thriving, and aliens might be running the whole damn show.
In their fourth (and increasingly unhinged) collaboration, Stone reunites with Lanthimos for Bugonia, a pitch-black satire that swan-dives into the “eat-the-rich” subgenre with wide-eyed paranoia and a heavy side of deadpan weirdness.
Jesse Plemons plays Teddy, a warehouse worker and conspiracy theorist who’s convinced the world operates like a bee hive, where worker bees are withering and dying just to preserve the life of the queen. And in this case, Teddy might have just found a queen bee in real life... and she might be a secret alien invader sent to destroy the planet.
Emma Stone stars as Michelle Fuller, a glossy, magazine-cover CEO of a shady pharmaceutical empire. She is the Queen Bee and everything Teddy blames for the collapse of modern civilization. So, naturally, he decides to kidnap her, force a confession, and... probably kill her.
Inspired by the South Korean cult film Save the Green Planet! and penned by Succession and The Menu scribe Will Tracy, Bugonia promises to sting with class rage, sting with sci-fi lunacy, and... oh yes, sting with biting satire between the haves and the have-nots.
Also co-starring Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias, and Alicia Silverstone, Bugonia will be hitting theaters October 24th.
The roads may change, but the rage stays the same. And Neeson doesn’t brake for anyone—especially hijackers!
Ice Road: Vengeance — Trailer
(on VOD July 1st)
Liam Neeson is back in the driver’s seat, and this time, the ice has melted... but the danger hasn’t.
In a rare twist, this sequel to the Netflix original The Ice Road is ditching the streamer (for now) and heading straight to theaters and VOD. Neeson returns as Mike McCann, the grizzled trucker with nerves of steel and a growl that could start an avalanche. But instead of Canada’s frozen lakes, he’s now navigating the deadly heights of the Himalayas. Because apparently, the only thing more dangerous than thin ice is thin air.
While visiting Nepal, Mike boards a bus bound for Mount Everest with Fan Bingbing’s local guide. Sounds peaceful... until hijackers crash the ride and threaten to destroy sacred land. Naturally, our man Mike has no patience for hostage-takers. So he gears up, revs up, and throws down… in the world’s highest-altitude showdown.
Directed again by Jonathan Hensleigh, Ice Road: Vengeance piles on the cliffside carnage, spiritual stakes, and Neeson-brand justice in the Himalayas. Think Speed meets Vertical Limit, with a lot more gravel in the dialogue. The film opened in theaters last Friday June 27th but arrives on VOD this week, starting July 1st.

⇩ NEW TELEVISION TRAILERS: 📺
One boy’s escape becomes a journey fueled by invention and defiance.
Washington Black — Trailer
(on Hulu July 23rd)
In this new Hulu limited series Washington Black, hope rises (quite literally) on a steampunk balloon as Washington “Wash” Black (Ernest Kingsley Jr.) flees a brutal Barbados plantation with the help of eccentric British abolitionist Titch (Tom Ellis). What starts as a desperate escape transforms into a globe-trotting, genre-blending odyssey full of deserts, ice fields, heartbreak, and yes, air travel powered by brilliant invention and boundless imagination.
Based on Esi Edugyan’s acclaimed novel, this magical-realist period adventure dares to soar beyond historical trauma, threading in romance, danger, and surreal invention. With Sterling K. Brown (also executive producer) playing Medwin, a salvage diver with a painful past, and Iola Evans as a high-society woman whose heart (and heritage) complicate Wash’s path, the series promises sweeping drama and emotional uplift.
Co-starring Rupert Graves, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, and Billy Boyd, Washington Black is the kind of tale that makes you believe resistance isn’t just rebellion... it’s invention, defiance, and the audacity to dream.
All episodes land Wednesday, July 23th on Hulu.
