“The Terminal List: Dark Wolf” Teaser Trailer: Taylor Kitsch Stars as a SEAL-Turned-CIA Operative in This Prequel to Chris Pratt’s Military Action Thriller Series — Premiering August 27th on Prime Video
With the Jack Ryan series completing its run with four seasons, Amazon is looking to fill that hole with a new military-leaning spy thriller series. And it might have found it with The Terminal List, an action thriller starring Chris Pratt as a battle-hardened Navy SEAL who returns home with conflicting memories of a disastrous combat mission—only to uncover a deadly conspiracy and find himself the target of a ruthless frame-up.
The show, which launched its first season back in 2022, was a strong enough hit that it has now spawned a prequel series—proving Amazon Prime is becoming the home of gritty, gunmetal-toned espionage thrillers built around lone wolves, covert ops, and conspiracies that go all the way to the top. Hell yeah! Fist pump!
Taylor Kitsch takes the reins, reprising his role of Ben Edwards, a CIA operative who was once a Navy SEAL—and also the former teammate and close friend of Pratt’s character, James Reece.
In this new prequel series, The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, we get to know why Kitsch’s Ben Edwards went from Navy SEAL to CIA operative—the reasoning behind those decisions, and how he was slowly pulled into the morally murky world of intelligence, where loyalty is a currency and betrayal comes standard-issue. The series dives into Ben’s journey into the shadowy world of covert warfare, first as a loyal member of the Navy SEALs, staying true to the brotherhood before things led him to go off-book, making choices that blur the line between duty and survival.
Co-created by The Terminal List author Jack Carr and original showrunner David DiGilio, The Terminal List: Dark Wolf peels back the layers on a man shaped by combat, haunted by loss, and ultimately driven to do whatever it takes in a world where the rules are easily erased and the line between hero soldier and rogue agent disappears in the dust.
Viewers can also expect to see Chris Pratt returning as James Reece, while other cast members include Tom Hopper, Robert Wisdom, Luke Hemsworth, Dar Salim, Rona-Lee Shimon, Shiraz Tzarfati, Jared Shaw, and more.
The Terminal List: Dark Wolf premieres Wednesday, August 27th with the first three episodes. New episodes will follow weekly, leading up to the season finale on Wednesday, September 24th.

“The Assassin” Trailer: Freddie Highmore Learns His Mother’s a Retired Professional Killer in This New British Thriller Series with Keeley Hawes — Premiering July 25th on Prime Video UK
And you thought your mother could hold a secret... well, Freddie Highmore just discovered his mum has been hiding an entire double life, and things are only going to get stranger, messier, and a whole lot more dangerous from here on out.
In the upcoming British series The Assassin, Highmore (coming off seven seasons of the American medical series The Good Doctor) returns to using his native British accent to play Edward, a young man searching for answers about his father and his mother’s past. But when he shows up in Greece, hoping to reconnect with his long-estranged mother Julie (played by Keeley Hawes, from Bodyguard and Orphan Black: Echoes), it’s a family reunion no one could have possibly prepared for. Edward soon learns his mother is a retired professional assassin now trying to live a quiet life, far away from her dangerous former world.
But as the past creeps closer, mother and son are thrust into a deadly game of cat and mouse, where long-buried truths, old enemies, and violent consequences collide. And the truth about Edward’s father? Well, if they live long enough dodging bullets from hired gunmen, they can have that uncomfortable conversation. But for now, they’ve gotta run, hide, and maybe—just maybe—start fighting back.
Created by Harry and Jack Williams (the brothers behind the acclaimed British series The Missing and The Tourist), The Assassin also stars Gina Gershon, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Jack Davenport, Alan Dale, Richard Dormer, and David Dencik.
The series is set to premiere Friday, July 25th on Prime Video, only in the U.K. As of yet, the series doesn’t have an official U.S. release date.
“Invasion: Season 3” Teaser: Golshifteh Farahani and Shamier Anderson Lead the Fight Against Evolving Alien Threat in Apple’s Sci-Fi Drama Series — Returns August 22nd on Apple TV+
In this time of great division and disarray, we would love to believe that if a greater force — for instance, like an alien army — suddenly arrives on this planet with the intent of annihilating the human population, that we can finally get our shit together and fight off a common enemy with a big united front. Now, that could be just wishful thinking on our part, but at least we have fictional stories that can let us pretend that humanity might actually pull it together when the chips are down.
Invasion, Apple TV’s alien invasion series from co-creators and executive producers Simon Kinberg (Dark Phoenix, The 355) and David Weil (Hunters, Solos), offers audiences a fantastical tale of human solidarity as the series returns with its third season this summer.
With the scattered human resistance finally converging, for the first time the series’ global cast of characters—played by Golshifteh Farahani, Shioli Kutsuna, Shamier Anderson, India Brown, Shane Zaza, and Enver Gjokaj—must join forces on a high-stakes mission to infiltrate the alien mothership. But as Earth’s deadliest invaders evolve into their most terrifying form yet, the fate of humanity teeters on a razor’s edge.
With deadly tendrils sweeping the globe and new threats rising from within, old loyalties are tested and new alliances forged. Erika Alexander joins the ensemble as the team risks everything to uncover the aliens’ true agenda, and stop them before it's too late.
Invasion: Season 3 aims to mix sci-fi spectacle with human drama, as survival will depend not just on strength, but on unity. The series returns Friday, August 22nd, only on Apple TV+.
“Neuromancer” In Production Teaser: Tiny Sneak Peek at Apple TV’s Small-Screen Adaptation of William Gibson’s Cyberpunk Classic — Coming Soon
The sci-fi writings of author William Gibson basically defined the term cyberpunk—or at least what we’ve come to associate with it. And Neuromancer just might go down in history as the definitive blueprint for the genre, influencing everything from The Matrix to video games like Cyberpunk 2077. Because of the book’s massive impact, there have been numerous attempts to turn the novel into a feature film over the years, each one stalling somewhere between development hell and forgotten projects.
Well, it seems Gibson’s iconic page-turner will finally get its long-awaited screen treatment, as Apple TV+ has announced that production has officially started on a forthcoming Neuromancer series, which will consist of ten episodes. A co-production between Skydance Television and Anonymous Content, the series was developed for television by acclaimed producer-writer Graham Roland (Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, Dark Winds) and filmmaker JD Dillard (Devotion, Sleight).
The series will follow a fallen elite hacker named Case as he’s pulled out of digital exile for one last job—one that could change the future of cyberspace itself. Partnered with Molly, a cybernetically enhanced assassin with mirrored eyes and zero patience, the two dive headfirst into a world of A.I. overlords, shady syndicates, and mega-corporations hoarding secrets too big to stay buried.
Callum Turner (Masters of the Air, Fantastic Beasts films) will portray Case, while up-and-comer Briana Middleton (The Silent Planet, The Tender Bar) takes on the role of Molly. Others in the cast include Mark Strong, Clémence Poésy, Peter Sarsgaard, Emma Laird, and Joseph Lee, with guest turns from Dane DeHaan and Max Irons.
Neuromancer will be coming soon, sometime in 2026.
