Take a peek at some of the latest trailers for upcoming TV shows.
“The Sandman: Season 2” Trailer: Dream (Tom Sturridge) Returns to Face The End in This Final Epic Season of the Netflix Fantasy Series — Part 1 Premieres July 3rd, Followed By Part 2 on July 24th
Thirty years ago, it would have been unfathomable to imagine The Sandman, one of the most celebrated and beloved comic book series ever created, being translated into a TV series. Back then, shows based on comic books were cheap, kid-friendly, and rarely taken seriously. But then again, 30 years ago it would also have been unfathomable to comprehend the concept of Netflix. Shows on the internet? Get outta here! It would've sounded more like science fiction than a viable way to watch television, especially during the era of dial-up and pixelated RealPlayer streams that took half an hour just to buffer a trailer.
But here we are! And The Sandman is returning with its second and final season next month, following a critically acclaimed debut in 2022. The excitement has only grown since then, with fans eager to see where Dream’s journey leads next. And while the recent scandal surrounding the shocking accusations against comic creator Neil Gaiman has dampened enthusiasm a bit, the series itself remains one of Netflix’s most anticipated highlights for its 2025 summer slate.
Joining the cast of this new and final season is English actress Esmé Creed-Miles, star of the 2019 short-lived Amazon Prime teen assassin series Hanna, based on the 2011 film. Creed-Miles takes on the role of Delirium, the youngest sibling in the Endless family, called in for a family reunion, with each member returning to their kingdom of The Dreaming.
Tom Sturridge is back as the titular Sandman (aka Morpheus, aka Dream) alongside returning cast members Kirby Howell-Baptiste as his sister, Death; Mason Alexander Park as their sibling, Desire; and Donna Preston as Despair. The Endless clan will face their ending, while Dream tries to save the realm, even if he must sacrifice himself to do it.
With writer Allan Heinberg (Wonder Woman) serving as showrunner, The Sandman: Season 2 will return in two parts, both debuting in July. The first part will start streaming Thursday, July 3rd, with the second part to follow on Tuesday, July 24th, only on Netflix.
“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Season 17” Trailer: Rob McElhenney, Glenn Howerton, Charlie Day, Kaitlin Olson & Danny DeVito Return for More Unapologetic Madness in FX’s Beloved Sitcom — Premiering July 9th on FX and Hulu
It’s rare for a television show, let alone a comedy series, to make it past its first season these days. Maybe the best you can hope for is a seven-season run? Well, try seventeen?!
That’s right! It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the extremely irreverent FX sitcom, will be returning in July with its 17th season, making it one of the longest-running comedy shows ever. And if you think this South Philly crew has lost a step after sixteen go-arounds, you’ll be happy to know they’re as narcissistic and sociopathic as ever.
Created, executive produced, and starring Rob McElhenney, Glenn Howerton, and Charlie Day, the show originated—like a lot of breakout comedies from the late 2000s—as a scrappy showcase for up-and-coming comedic talents using a twisted sense of humor to push boundaries, skewer taboos, and gleefully cross every line imaginable. Now, over 17 years later, that same group (McElhenney, Howerton, Day, along with Kaitlin Olson and Danny DeVito) is still at it… maybe a little older, but just as unapologetically unhinged as ever.
This new season will see a “boned-up” Frank Reynolds (DeVito) become the latest Golden Bachelor in a deranged reality dating series, where he just might meet his new lady love—assuming the competition doesn’t kill him first. Meanwhile, the Paddy’s Pub crew will get into all sorts of wild shenanigans, as per usual—including a surprise crossover with the West Philly teachers from Abbott Elementary. It’s part of a volunteer program... that goes hella wrong!
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Season 17 premieres Wednesday, July 9th on FXX, followed by streaming on Hulu.
“Untamed” Teaser: Eric Bana Stars as Yosemite Park Investigator Hunting an Elusive Killer in Netflix’s New Murder-Mystery Miniseries From The Revenant Writer Mark L. Smith — Premiering July 17th on Netflix
Yosemite National Park is known for its majestic scenery, where millions of visitors each year come to witness firsthand its towering granite cliffs, giant sequoia trees, and cascading waterfalls. It feels almost unreal. It’s nature at its most grand and awe-inspiring.
Now, let’s turn that image upside down, shall we? Imagine this as the perfect setting for a murder. And Eric Bana as a veteran national park investigator dead set to catch an elusive killer after discovering a corpse inside the boundaries of Yosemite.
“Things happen different out here,” Bana’s Kyle Turner warns a young park ranger (played by Lily Santiago) in the first teaser for the forthcoming Netflix limited series Untamed.
Executive produced and written by acclaimed writer Mark L. Smith (The Revenant, American Primeval), who shares co-showrunning and co-writing duties with his daughter Elle Smith (The Marsh King’s Daughter), the six-episode miniseries is a character-driven murder-mystery thriller set against the backdrop of one of the most beautiful places on Earth, Yosemite National Park. But with great beauty comes great mystery and dark secrets that will collide with Bana’s character’s own past.
Also starring Sam Neill and Rosemarie DeWitt, Untamed is set to premiere Thursday, July 17th only on Netflix.
“King of the Hill: Season 14” Sneak Peek Clip: Watch Hank and Peggy Hill as They Tour the George W. Bush Presidential Library in Mike Judge’s Revival — Out on Hulu August 4th
Okay, think really hard: what would be the perfect tourist destination for a guy like Hank Hill? If you said he’d enjoy visiting a museum... well, you’re almost there. But it wouldn’t be just any ol’ museum. It would be the official George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum.
Watch Hank soak in a little offshore drilling history while his wife Peggy contemplates sticking herself with a presidential letter opener in this official clip from the upcoming revival of Mike Judge’s beloved animated series King of the Hill.
The cartoon series returns after a decade and a half with its official 14th season. It seems that during that time, Hank (Mike Judge) and Peggy Hill (Kathy Najimy) had lived in Saudi Arabia for a stretch, with Hank’s propane job taking him outside the United States. But now they’ve returned to their old stomping grounds in Arlen, Texas.
They’re retired and ready to enjoy their golden years—reconnecting with old friends Dale, Boomhauer, and Bill, while watching their now 20-something son Bobby (Pamela Adlon) live out his dream as a chef in Dallas alongside his former classmates Connie, Joseph, and Chane.
King of the Hill: Season 14 debuts Monday, August 4th on Hulu.
“Wednesday: Season 2” New Promo: Take a Tour of the Nevermore Academy with New Nevermore Principal Barry Dort (Steve Buscemi) — Season 2: Part 1 on August 6th; Part 2 on September 3rd
Meet the new principal of Nevermore Academy, Barry Dort, played by none other than Steve Buscemi! Watch Barry as he takes viewers on a tour through the hallowed grounds of Nevermore, where secrets, curses, and curious creatures can be found at every corner.
It’s going to be a whole new semester of spine-tingling trouble. And with our favorite goth teen Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) back for a new year—now with her brother Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez) joining the fray—school studies might be the least of her worries. While juggling cryptic visions and complicated friendships, Wednesday’s sophomore year promises to be anything but dead boring.
Series creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar return alongside executive producer and master of the macabre Tim Burton, ensuring the show’s eerie aesthetic and twisted sense of humor stay intact for Season 2.
New principal Barry Dort is going to make sure Nevermore stays weird, stays haunted, and most importantly... stays “never better.”
Part 1 of Wednesday: Season 2 premieres Wednesday, August 6th, with Part 2 arriving Wednesday, September 3rd.
