“Resident Alien: Season 4” Trailer: Alan Tudyk Is Back for More Laughs and Alien Shenanigans! – Premiering June 6th on SYFY and USA Network
In our eyes, comic actor Alan Tudyk is pure gold. He’s one of the best in the game, and no matter what roles he’s tackling, he’s going to bring his A-game, every damn time. While he’s arguably best known for his comedic voice roles in a number of animated blockbusters (Moana, Frozen, Big Hero 6, etc.), no one should sleep on his physical performances or how much laughter he can elicit from a goofy gesture or two.
A great example of Tudyk’s physical hilarity is in the sci-fi comedy series Resident Alien, where he plays a space alien stuck in a human’s body. For our money, it just might be one of the funniest shows on right now that hasn’t quite broken into popular culture. So, we hope more viewers start tuning in, as we’re sure they’ll find a great deal of enjoyment.
With Season 4 around the corner, set to arrive in June on the USA Network and the SYFY channel, those unfamiliar with Resident Alien will have some time to catch up, as the first three seasons are currently streaming on both Peacock and Netflix.
Here’s just a quick rundown of what the show is about: Based on the Dark Horse comic book by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse, the series features Tudyk as Harry Vanderspeigle, a cold-hearted space alien operative sent to Earth to set up plans for its annihilation by masquerading as a small-town medical examiner in the Colorado town of Patience. While Harry was initially sent on a mission to facilitate an alien takeover of Earth, he slowly begins to immerse himself in the human lifestyle. He soon befriends his co-worker, a nurse named Asta (wonderfully played by Sara Tomko), and quickly becomes the town’s go-to doc, whom everyone looks up to. Harry eventually finds himself admiring the attributes of humans, which makes his job increasingly difficult. Now treasuring his new human friends, Harry, despite his extremely awkward behavior of pretending to be a normal human doctor, begins to shed his angry alien mindset toward humankind—though he still believes they’re stupid creatures and some of the ugliest species in the galaxy.
Resident Alien is executive produced by showrunner Chris Sheridan, who for years had worked on Seth MacFarlane’s hit animated series Family Guy as one of the show’s main writers and executive producers.
Besides Tudyk and Tomko, the show features a top-notch ensemble that includes Corey Reynolds as Sheriff Mike, Elizabeth Bowen as Deputy Liv, Alice Wetterlund as bar owner D’arcy, Levi Fiehler as young mayor Ben Hawthorne, Meredith Garretson as Ben’s wife Kate, and Judah Prehn as Ben and Kate’s son Max, who actually has the rare ability to see through Harry’s fake human disguise and see him as he truly is.
Resident Alien: Season 4 debuts Friday, June 6th on SYFY and the USA Network.

“The Gilded Age: Season 3” Teaser Trailer: Carrie Coon Returns for Some More High-Society Scheming – Premiering June 22nd on HBO/MAX
Mark Twain once famously said, “History doesn’t repeat itself, but it often rhymes.” Well, the Gilded Age was considered a time in America where we saw a great deal of economic and political disparities, which brought on a rise of mass corporate consolidations and mega monopolies, where the country’s elites became the ruling class with immense political power. Now, if history isn’t repeating itself, it’s certainly rhyming like a well-tuned symphony, with notes that are eerily similar.
And so, the HBO series The Gilded Age, created by Julian Fellowes, might have begun as the spiritual American cousin of Downton Abbey, exploring class disparities in 1880s New York City. But with everything going on in the world today, the series takes on a new light, offering a sharp commentary on what still resonates today and on what feels more like an echo of the past. In other words, in what ways history has repeated itself, and in what ways it only rhymes.
Plus, it has Carrie Coon. And no matter what the setting is, Coon is going to knock it out of the park. We saw what she did in Season 3 of The White Lotus, now let’s see what she can do in Season 3 of The Gilded Age, dressed in a tightly buttoned Tea Gown with a tiara, no less.
It’s the clash between new money and old, where marriage is a heartless game of financial mobility and love is a silly notion. The Gilded Age returns with a brand-new season next month. And the Russell family, led by Bertha and George (played by Carrie Coon and Morgan Spector), will see if they can turn the potential marriage of their daughter Gladys (Taissa Farmiga) into a pawn for gaining more political and economic control.
Cynthia Nixon and Christine Baranski are returning as well. So, prepare for a history lesson in high-society scheming when The Gilded Age: Season 3 arrives on HBO/MAX on June 22nd.
“Revival” Trailer: The Dead Return to Rural Wisconsin in This New Supernatural Horror Series Based on the Image Comic, Starring Wynonna Earp’s Melanie Scrofano – Premiering June 12th on SYFY
Sure, call us an easy mark, but when it comes to zombies, there’s simply no better horror genre that gets us hooked from the start. Whether it’s the excitement of surviving a relentless horde of dead corpses or the tension of trying to stay alive in a world on the brink, zombies always manage to keep us on the edge of our seats. It never fails to deliver. So, one could say that this new SYFY series Revival already has us penciling it in on our must-watch calendar.
Based on the Image horror comic book series by writer Tim Seeley and artist Mike Norton, Revival takes place in rural Wisconsin in a small town following the immediate aftermath of a strange, life-altering phenomenon: On one unbelievable and horrifying day, the recently deceased rose from their graves, only to return home, back into the lives of their loving families. Now labeled as “Revivers,” as far as the town knows, only 45 souls have returned from the dead, bringing with them a load of complications. For one, their cellular structure can regenerate, making them practically immortal. They can’t be killed. Some of them are murder victims, with their cases still unsolved, while others have returned completely different than before.
Melanie Scrofano (from the SYFY supernatural western series Wynonna Earp) stars as Dana Cypress, a small-town officer and single mother who finds herself thrust into the chaos of her newly unstable community, forced to confront an alarming phenomenon that has sparked crippling paranoia and fear of what could come next.
Also starring Romy Weltman, David James Elliott, and Andy McQueen, the series is created and showrun by horror filmmakers Aaron B. Koontz (The Pale Door, Scare Package) and Luke Boyce (Revealer).
Revival will premiere Thursday, June 12th on the SYFY network.
