✪ “One Piece: Season 2” First-Look Teaser: Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates Embark on Their Next High-Seas Adventure in Netflix’s Hit Live-Action Adaptation — Premiering 2026
Netflix’s push for more original anime content paid off in 2023 with one of its biggest breakout hits: the live-action adaptation of the beloved manga adventure franchise One Piece. Already adored worldwide for its original manga by Eiichiro Oda and long-running anime series, Netflix took a bold gamble on an English-language live-action retelling of the seafaring exploits of Monkey D. Luffy—a 17-year-old aspiring pirate whose body gained the ability to stretch like elastic after accidentally eating a mystical “Devil Fruit.” The story follows Luffy as he sets sail from the East Blue Sea to the Grand Line in search of the legendary treasure known as the One Piece, accompanied by his ragtag crew of misfits, the Straw Hat Pirates. Whoever claims this fabled prize earns the title of King of the Pirates.
The Netflix series has been embraced by One Piece fans, cementing itself as one of the platform’s biggest hits. Featuring Mexican-born actor Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, alongside Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, and Jacob Romero Gibson as his loyal crew, Season 2 has been in production for nearly two years—delayed in part by the actor and writer strikes. Now, Netflix has dropped the first-look teaser for the highly anticipated new season, along with the announcement that Season 3 has officially been greenlit, with its sails soon to be set.
Titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line, Season 2 will continue Luffy’s spirited high-seas adventure as he pursues his dream of becoming the next King of the Pirates.
Executive produced by series creator Eiichiro Oda (also known as Oda-Sensei), created in partnership with Shueisha, and produced by Tomorrow Studios and Netflix, One Piece: Season 2 will premiere sometime in 2026. So prepare to set sail once again—because the Grand Line awaits.

✪ “The Paper” Trailer: Domhnall Gleeson Runs a Struggling Toledo Newspaper in Greg Daniels and Michael Koman’s Mockumentary Sitcom Spin-Off of The Office — Premiering September 4 on Peacock
This seems like a no-brainer: a spin-off to the widely successful mockumentary sitcom The Office. Still using the same story device: a documentary crew chronicling the humdrum lives of everyday office workers—the setting shifts from a paper company in Scranton, Pennsylvania, to a struggling newspaper in Toledo, Ohio, called the Toledo Truth-Teller. And you guessed it… the paper is on the decline.
Co-created and executive produced by Emmy-winners Greg Daniels (The Office, Parks and Rec, Space Force) and Michael Koman (Nathan for You, How to with John Wilson, Late Night with Conan O’Brien), The Paper stars Domhnall Gleeson as Ned Sampson, the idealistic new editor-in-chief of the Toledo Truth-Teller. With the company on life support, Ned must rally his delightfully dysfunctional staff to try and restore the historic paper to its former glory.
The premise is familiar: ordinary office drones navigating petty dramas, awkward team dynamics, and the occasional existential crisis. But with circulation numbers in freefall, the stakes are higher, the deadlines sharper, and the margins thinner. In other words, expect the awkward humor, eccentric characters, and razor-sharp observational comedy that made The Office such a winner.
The comedy series also stars Italian actress Sabrina Impacciatore (The White Lotus: Season 2), Melvin Gregg (The Blackening), Chelsea Frei (The Moodys), Ramona Young (Never Have I Ever), Gbemisola Ikumelo (A League of Their Own), Alex Edelman (Unfrosted), Tim Key (The Ballad of Wallis Island), and Oscar Nuñez returning as Oscar Martinez.
The Paper is due to premiere Thursday, September 4th on Peacock.
✪ “Tulsa King: Season 3” Teaser: Sylvester Stallone Faces Old Money and New Enemies in New Season of Hit Mafia Series — Premiering September 21st on Paramount+
At age 79, legendary action star Sylvester Stallone has found a new gear in his Hollywood career, shifting into television with impressive success. The Rocky and Rambo icon returns next month for the third season of his hit series Tulsa King.
Part of Taylor Sheridan's slate of Paramount+ original shows, the series is a classic Mafia crime drama in which Stallone stars as Dwight Manfredi, a New York mobster sent to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to establish a criminal operation after serving 25 years in prison. After recruiting a few shady locals (including Martin Starr, Jay Will, and Garrett Hedlund), Dwight builds his own little empire... in Tulsa.
But with the stakes higher in Season 3 and the money rolling in, Dwight’s growing empire draws the attention of the Dunmires—a ruthless old-money clan with no respect for the old rules. As enemies close in and loyalties are tested, Dwight will have to fight harder than ever to protect his crew, his family, and his crown.
Co-starring Dana Delany, Annabella Sciorra, and McKenna Quigley Harrington, with guest appearances from Neal McDonough, Frank Grillo, and Robert Patrick, Tulsa King: Season 3 is scheduled to debut Sunday, September 21st, on Paramount+.
✪ “Invasion: Season 3” Trailer: Humanity’s Last Line of Defense Unites for a ‘Dead-Zone’ Mission in Apple’s Alien War Series with Golshifteh Farahani, Shamier Anderson, and Enver Gjokaj – Premiering August 22nd on Apple TV+
They destroyed the mothership. The aliens have retreated. Two years later, society feels like it’s getting back to normal. But the moment things get too comfortable is the moment they must prepare for what’s coming next.
If you think Apple’s effects-heavy sci-fi series Invasion is just another alien invasion, end-of-the-world spectacle... well, you wouldn’t be wrong about that. But the streaming show is also a global tale of human resilience, where people must unite to face a common enemy and an extinction-level threat.
Co-created by Simon Kinberg (Dark Phoenix, The 355) and David Weil (Hunters, Solos), Season 3 finds the scattered resistance finally uniting. The elite group of soldiers and resistance fighters—Golshifteh Farahani, Shioli Kutsuna, Shamier Anderson, India Brown, Shane Zaza, and Enver Gjokaj—must band together for a high-risk mission: to trek across the “dead zone” in search of any signs of an alien return.
As tendrils of destruction spread worldwide and new threats emerge from within, alliances shift and loyalties are tested. Erika Alexander joins the cast as the team gambles everything to uncover the aliens’ true agenda before time runs out.
Blending sci-fi spectacle with grounded human drama, Invasion: Season 3 makes survival as much about unity as it is about strength. The battle begins Friday, August 22nd, only on Apple TV+.

From Jonas Pate, creator of Netflix’s smash hit Outer Banks, The Runarounds is a coming-of-age drama following a ragtag crew of Wilmington high school grads who form a rock band to dodge the dead-end futures waiting for them. As they chase gigs, glory, and an almost-impossible dream, their summer becomes a whirlwind of love, rivalry, and reckless choices that could make—or break—them.
Starring Maximo Salas, Marley Aliah, William Lipton, Shea Pritchard, Axel Ellis, Jeremy Yun, Zendé Murdock, Jesse Golliher, Lilah Pate, and Kelley Pereira, alongside country musician Mark Wystrach, Brooklyn Decker, and Hayes MacArthur, the Amazon series aims to capture the rush of chasing the ultimate dream—to be rock gods, even if only for a moment.
