⇩ NEW MOVIE TRAILERS: 🎥
Lex vows to destroy Superman... but he’s about to learn why true heroes never quit.
Superman — Final Trailer
(in theaters July 11th)
He’s bruised, battered, and apparently doing “important stuff”—yep, Superman is back!
In the final trailer for Superman, James Gunn’s hotly anticipated DC movie, David Corenswet dons the iconic cape and steps into a world that already knows Superman—and also adores him. But not everyone’s clapping.
Enter Lex Luthor, played with suit-clad menace by Nicholas Hoult, who snarls through the trailer like a billionaire Bond villain fueled by pettiness and envy. “They chose him… let them die!” he growls, before casually vowing to kill Superman’s adoptive parents and bulldoze his Fortress of Solitude.
This isn’t a Superman discovering his powers—it’s one discovering the burden of being a beloved hero in a world growing increasingly cynical. With superheroes fully integrated into society, the question becomes: what happens when the world’s faith in capes wavers? Especially when the most dangerous man alive is desperate to steal your applause.
The trailer also showcases Rachel Brosnahan’s whip-smart Lois Lane, piloting an orb-shaped spacecraft through downtown Metropolis, and new glimpses of Edi Gathegi’s Mister Terrific and Nathan Fillion’s Guy Gardner throwing some serious shade at our Big Blue Boy Scout.
With record-breaking ticket sales and Amazon Prime’s early screenings fueling the hype, Superman officially lands July 11th.
When the world’s on fire, sometimes the unlikeliest heroes grab the wheel.
The Lost Bus — Teaser
(in theaters and on Apple TV+ this Fall)
Based on the true story of the 2018 Camp Fire, this emotional thriller from writer-director Paul Greengrass (United 93, Captain Phillips) follows a humble school bus driver who answers a desperate call: 22 kids trapped in a firestorm, no help in sight, and a road to safety that’s looking mighty grim.
Enter Oscar-winner Matthew McConaughey, all Southern grit and heroic panic as the bus driver-turned-local hero, with Barbie actress America Ferrera taking on the role of the tough teacher trying to keep everyone calm while the world literally burns around them.
In classic Greengrass fashion, the teaser delivers handheld chaos, rising dread, and moral urgency. The film is adapted from Lizzie Johnson’s Paradise, a book so moving it apparently convinced actress Jamie Lee Curtis to champion the project all the way to Blumhouse, where she now serves as producer alongside horror maestro Jason Blum.
With a supporting cast that includes Yul Vazquez, Ashlie Atkinson, and Spencer Watson, and a script co-penned by Mare of Easttown’s Brad Ingelsby, The Lost Bus is shaping up to be the kind of crowd-pleasing tearjerker that leaves you clenching your seat... perhaps reaching for your phone to call your kids and immediately asking for the name of their bus driver to give them a firm handshake.
The Lost Bus will be arriving this fall in theaters and on Apple TV+.
Under lockdown, order dies first.
Eddington — Full Trailer
(in theaters July 18th)
Set during the sweltering chaos of May 2020, this COVID-era pressure cooker finds Joaquin Phoenix as a small-town sheriff cracking under quarantine, conspiracy, and community collapse.
The fourth film from Ari Aster, the genre-bending provocateur behind Hereditary and Midsommar, Eddington swaps cults and grief for lockdowns and online rage. Phoenix’s Sheriff Joe Cross tries to maintain public order in a town boiling over with paranoia, only to find himself battling a mayor (Pedro Pascal) using the pandemic as a campaign prop, a social media preacher (Austin Butler) stirring up anti-lockdown fervor, and even his own wife (Emma Stone) questioning his sanity... and perhaps also his politics.
Blending small-town tension with pitch-black satire and political anxiety, Aster aims to deliver a slow-burn psychodrama that escalates into pure disorder. If you thought the early days of COVID were uncomfortable, just wait until the bullets start flying and the air gets hotter when Phoenix’s Sheriff Cross finally reaches his boiling point.
With a cast that reads like an awards-season fever dream, Eddington could end up being Aster’s most incendiary film yet. Love it or loathe it, it’s guaranteed to provoke, disturb, and probably spark a few Twitter threads of its own.
Eddington opens July 18th via A24.
Armored trucks, hijacked routes, and a heist so big it demands old-school swagger and new-school buffoonery.
The Pickup — Trailer
(on Prime Video on Aug. 6th)
Comedy legend Eddie Murphy trades banana-in-the-tailpipe hijinks for bulletproof vests and buddy-cop banter in this high-octane heist flick, The Pickup.
Directed by Ride Along’s Tim Story, Murphy plays Russell, a seasoned armored truck driver with one goal: finish his shift and get home to his wife (Eva Longoria). But his day derails soon enough when he’s paired with a rookie partner, Travis (comedian Pete Davidson), whose mouth runs faster than his feet.
Joining the fun is Keke Palmer as Zoe, a criminal queenpin who hijacks their route, takes Russell’s wife hostage, and demands they rob a casino... or else! What follows is a mashup of mismatched mayhem, generational jabs, and Murphy unleashing just enough old-school charm to remind us he’s still got the goods.
Also costarring Ismael Cruz Córdova, Marshawn Lynch, Roman Reigns, and Andrew Dice Clay (because why not?), The Pickup aims to blend big laughs with bigger explosions when it arrives on Prime Video August 6th.
Sure, Murphy’s days of box-office domination may be in the rearview, but this slick adrenaline-driven caper might prove he can still drive the comedy-action lane... with Davidson riding shotgun, of course.
When the town is invaded by creepy crawlies, the science teacher might be our only hope.
Ick — Trailer
(In Theaters July 27-29th via Fathom Events)
The Ick! It’s not just teen slang anymore. It’s also an alien infection with tentacles, and it’s here to cancel the prom.
In Joseph Kahn’s horror-comedy The Ick, Superman Returns’ Brandon Routh plays Hank, a washed-up science teacher still haunted by his fumbled football glory days and the high school sweetheart (American Beauty’s Mena Suvari) who got away. But when a vine-like alien parasite begins turning his sleepy town into an intergalactic petri dish, Hank might finally have a shot at redemption—and maybe become the town hero again.
Equal parts The Faculty and Slither with a splash of Evolution, the film blends slimy horror with high school melodrama and a killer pop-punk soundtrack featuring American Rejects, Paramore, and Blink-182.
With Malina Weissman (Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events) as Grace, Hank’s maybe-teen daughter caught in the crossfire, and directed by music video maestro Joseph Kahn (Bodied, Detention), this genre romp is a nostalgia-fueled alien invasion with emotional baggage, killer vines, and canceled prom plans. So yeah, it has “CW” vibes, but maybe also enough thrills to keep you on the edge of your seat.
The Ick lands in limited release July 27–29 via Fathom Events. Prepare to cringe, cheer… and maybe scream, “Ew!” for all the right reasons.
Remember: if your dad gives you a stake for your birthday, maybe don’t laugh.
Abraham’s Boys: A Dracula Story — Trailer
(in theaters July 11th)
And you thought your dad was strict? Try having vampire-slaying drills before breakfast.
Titus Welliver (brooding like no one else can) stars as a deeply haunted Abraham Van Helsing in this gothic horror tale set in 1915 rural America, where the vampire-hunting legend has gone from slayer to survivalist dad. Raising his teenage sons in near isolation, Abraham’s spent nearly two decades warning them of the evil that still lurks in the dark—and training them to face it.
But Max and Rudy (Brady Hepner and Judah Mackey) aren’t buying it. They think dear old Dad’s losing it… until Mom (Jocelin Donahue) falls mysteriously ill, then the rooms get darker, shadows start to move, and something suspiciously fang-y starts creeping around dark corners.
Based on Joe Hill’s chilling short story and directed by Natasha Kermani (Lucky, V/H/S/85), this slow-burning horror walks the thin line between psychological dread and full-on monster mayhem, turning Dracula into a ghost story—until he isn’t.
Horror maestro Stephen King (aka Joe Hill’s father) calls it “a terrific fright-fest.” And he should know a thing or two about scary dads.
Dripping with paranoia, dust, and dread, Abraham’s Boys: A Dracula Story asks the ultimate question: when your father says monsters are real, do you listen... or find out the hard way? Hitting theaters July 11th, before it haunts Shudder later this year.

⇩ NEW TELEVISION TRAILERS: 📺
When being different can get you locked up… power is the only escape.
The Institute — Trailer
(on MGM+ July 13th)
Think X-Men meets The Shining, with less spandex and way more psychological torture.
Based on Stephen King’s 2019 novel, this Amazon MGM+ original series taps into that age-old fear of being different... and the very modern nightmare of being imprisoned for it. Newcomer Joe Freeman stars as Luke Ellis, a gifted teen yanked from normalcy and dumped into a top-secret facility for psychic kids, where recess includes torture sessions and the only homework is surviving Ms. Sigsby’s cruel experiments (Mary-Louise Parker, radiating icy menace).
Ben Barnes plays Tim Jamieson, an ex-cop whose quiet small-town vibes are shattered by weird energy spikes and the distinct smell of government cover-up. Naturally, he starts poking around the local “school”—because when telekinetic teens throw tantrums, drywall isn’t the only thing that cracks.
Directed by Lost's Jack Bender and executive produced by King himself, The Institute pairs spooky small-town intrigue with comic book-style stakes, all while asking: what if the worst thing about your powers… is who wants to control them?
Class is in session July 13th on MGM+.
In a changing world, Hank Hill remains proudly unchanged.
King of the Hill: Season 14 — Father’s Day Promo
(on Hulu and Disney+ Aug. 4th)
He’s back, y’all! And this time, the only thing Hank Hill’s hugging is his perfectly balanced lawnmower.
Hulu’s new Father’s Day promo gives us our first look at the long-awaited return of King of the Hill, with Hank, Peggy, and a now fully grown Bobby settling back into life in Arlen, Texas, where the grass is trimmed to regulation length and the only thing hotter than the propane is the generational tension.
Yes, Pamela Adlon returns as Bobby, now an adult trying to make his own way… but still not allowed near the grill. Hank (voiced again by Mike Judge) is older, possibly crankier, and definitely still confused by anything involving apps, or QR codes. For him, Yelp is still just a thing you do when stepping on a rake.
With 10 all-new episodes premiering August 4th on Hulu and Disney+, expect handshakes over hugs, firm opinions on fertilizer, and the kind of dad-son debates that only get more awkward with age.
Galactic empires may crumble, but good sci-fi just keeps expanding.
Foundation: Season 3 — Trailer
(on Apple TV+ July 11th)
Apple TV+ is dusting off its star charts and returning to the cosmos with the third season of Foundation, the visually spectacular sci-fi epic based on Isaac Asimov’s once “unfilmable” book series. If you’re still mourning Andor’s finale, this is the cerebral, politically-charged space saga your inner strategist has been craving.
As Season 3 kicks off July 11th, the Galactic Empire teeters closer to collapse, with power players plotting, factions splintering, and a bold mathematical plan to save civilization caught in the crossfire. Jared Harris and Lee Pace return for more existential duels and monologue showdowns, while newcomers like Pilou Asbæk, Cherry Jones, Ralph Ineson, and Oscar-winner Troy Kotsur add fresh tension to the power vacuum.
Created by David S. Goyer and Josh Friedman, Foundation blends palace intrigue, big ideas, and big-budget spectacle. Think Game of Thrones in space—with less dragons, more deterministic equations. So if your summer needs fewer stormtroopers and more intellectual warfare, Foundation is ready to take you back to the stars, starting July 11th.
L.A.’s hottest new detective doesn’t need vacation days... she simply needs you to get out of her way.
Ballard — Trailer
(on Prime Video July 9th)
Maggie Q takes the reins in Ballard, the latest spin-off from Michael Connelly’s Bosch universe, and this time, the spotlight shifts to LAPD Detective Renée Ballard. She’s sharp, relentless, and fresh off the night shift—ready to take on a department riddled with dysfunction, distrust, and dusty old rules that should’ve retired a decade ago.
With the city teetering between outrage and apathy, Ballard’s job isn’t just solving crimes—it’s restoring faith in the badge. Easier said than done when you're staring down cold cases, corrupt systems, and crusty colleagues who’d rather cling to the past than fix the present.
Expect Titus Welliver to return (briefly but gloriously) as Harry Bosch, passing the torch with a grizzled nod, while rounding out the cast are John Carroll Lynch, Michael Mosley, Amy Hill, among others.
Ballard premieres July 9th on Prime Video.
And if you think armor is all it takes to be a hero, Riri’s here to prove heart is the real power source.
Ironheart — New Trailer and Promo
(on Disney+ June 24th)
Riri Williams trades Wakandan labs for Chicago streets... and this time, she’s flying solo!
Dominique Thorne suits back up as Riri in Ironheart, a six-episode Disney+ miniseries that picks up after Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. She’s home, she’s hustling, and she’s building the kind of tech that could make Tony Stark do a double-take—if he weren’t, well, dust.
But not everyone’s cheering. Enter Anthony Ramos as Parker Robbins, aka the Hood, a street-savvy antagonist with mystic powers and a dangerous agenda. He’s got charisma, connections, and the kind of manipulative charm that turns mentorship into a mind game.
With a cast that includes Alden Ehrenreich, Lyric Ross, and Shea Couleé, Ironheart blends high-tech heroics with personal stakes, asking what it means to protect more than just the world—like your soul, your city, and your sense of self.
From executive producer Ryan Coogler and head writer Chinaka Hodge, this series is equal parts Marvel superhero spectacle and coming-of-age adventure. Ironheart premieres next week June 24th on Disney+.

Watch New “Psycho Killer” Music Video — Saoirse Ronan Brings New Life to Talking Heads’ Classic Jam, Directed by Beginners Director Mike Mills
Who isn’t a Talking Heads fan? Who doesn’t love their classic 1977 jam “Psycho Killer”? You’d think a song nearly five decades old wouldn’t still feel this modern, right? What other track so effortlessly straddles punk, funk, and art rock while sounding like the perfect soundtrack for a 2025 music video?
But would a whole new generation embrace its infectious bassline and unforgettable groove? Well, filmmaker Mike Mills (Beginners, 20th Century Women, C’mon C’mon) put that theory to the test with his new video for “Psycho Killer.” It stars Irish actress Saoirse Ronan as an ordinary office worker trapped in the continuous doldrums of daily life, until the song’s paranoid energy and catchy hooks set her free to scream and dance to her heart's content.
The music video, officially released on the Talking Heads’ official YouTube page, has been making the rounds these past weeks, racking up over 3 million views, proving that some songs never go out of style... and never will.
