🎥 Here’s a list of films coming to screens soon!
🎥 “Project Hail Mary” Final International Trailer: Ryan Gosling Becomes Earth’s Last Hope and Teams with a Rock-Like Alien in Phil Lord & Christopher Miller’s Much-Buzzed-About Space Adventure — Hitting Theaters March 20th
Saving the world was never supposed to fall to a middle-school science teacher from Cleveland. But then again, who could have expected the sun to start dying so fast? That’s the gist behind Ryan Gosling’s latest sci-fi adventure Project Hail Mary, which is already generating plenty of buzz. And it just might be the next big space adventure audiences have been waiting for.
After all, it hails from directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who brought us the animated blockbusters Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and its sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and is based on the best-selling novel by author Andy Weir, of The Martian fame, adapted by The Martian scribe Drew Goddard. So the film certainly has the pedigree to make it something special.
Set to open nationwide on March 20th, the film sees Gosling as Ryland Grace, an unassuming middle-school science teacher from Cleveland who suddenly finds himself tasked with saving the entire planet. Scientists have made a terrifying discovery: the sun is dying, and Earth is running out of time. With no other viable options, a global coalition recruits Ryland for a last-ditch mission into deep space, hoping his brilliant mind for molecular biology and knack for unconventional problem-solving might deliver the impossible.
Launched alone on a desperate interstellar journey built on educated guesses and blind hope, Ryland’s mission quickly becomes even stranger. After a mishap leaves him waking up among the stars with fragmented memories, he soon realizes he’s not quite as alone as he thought. Out there in the vastness of space, he encounters a peculiar alien lifeform made of rock, whom he fittingly names Rocky. Clearly intelligent and apparently sent on a similar mission of cosmic importance, the unlikely pair begin working together to solve a problem that threatens not just Earth, but possibly the entire universe. Suddenly, this Hail Mary pass has slightly better odds.
Co-starring Sandra Hüller (Anatomy of a Fall, The Zone of Interest) as the steely government official who recruits Ryland for the impossible task, along with The Bear’s Lionel Boyce, Industry’s Ken Leung, and This Is Us’ Milana Vayntrub rounding out the cast, Project Hail Mary just might be one of next year’s most exciting sci-fi spectacles.
🎥 “Mermaid” Trailer: Johnny Pemberton Stars as a Down-and-Out Floridian Hiding a Mythical Sea Creature in This Darkly Quirky Comedy — Hitting Select Theaters April 8th
Do you love mermaid movies where a clueless human stumbles into a chance encounter with a mythical sea creature? Well, you’re in luck! There’s a new film on the horizon that might scratch that itch. Just don’t expect something like Splash. This one swims in darker, weirder waters and is likely headed in a very different direction.
The upcoming film Mermaid is a dark, offbeat comedy starring Johnny Pemberton (from the Amazon video game–based series Fallout) as Doug, a socially awkward, down-on-the-dumps Floridian whose life has completely unraveled with no clear path forward.
Divorced, broke, and freshly fired from his job tending the aquarium at a local strip club, Doug finds himself spiraling toward rock bottom. One day, he takes his boat out into the Gulf, ready to end the misery. But once in the middle of the ocean, he discovers something impossible; something he believes is an injured mermaid barely clinging to life, which changes his entire trajectory. Now Doug’s on a mission to protect his discovery, despite it looking like a mummified corpse he just fished out of the sea.
Written and directed by Tyler Cornack, the filmmaker behind the cult oddity Butt Boy and the anthology horror comedy Tiny Cinema, Mermaid takes the sideshow mythology and spins it on its head with a dark comedic twist. It asks: what if you stumbled across a mythical creature that looked less like a fantasy and more like something pulled from a dusty roadside attraction? Would you still believe it was real, even if you were drug-addled and spacing out at the time?
Joining Pemberton is a top-notch supporting cast that includes Robert Patrick, Kirk Fox, Kevin Nealon, Kevin Dunn, Tom Arnold, Julia Valentine Larson, and Avery Potemri.
Mermaid is set to hit select theaters on April 8th.
🎥 “Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice” Trailer: Vince Vaughn Faces His Future Self in This Time-Bending Action-Comedy with James Marsden & Eiza González — Premiering March 27th on Hulu/Disney+
Rarely have we seen anyone keep up with the fast wit of Vince Vaughn, but perhaps the wisecracking Wedding Crashers actor, known for his lightning-fast quips and banter, has finally met someone who can match his speed. And it just so happens to be... well, himself. A future version of himself, that is. Literally from the future. Vaughn plays Nick, a man confronted by a future version of himself—a time-traveling criminal who’s come back to take down his present-day self in order to avoid a doomed timeline, one where he meets his end because of his own foolish decisions.
James Marsden is along for the ride as Mike, Nick’s lovable dimwitted partner who can’t quite decide whether any of this is real... and worse yet, doesn’t quite know the word chloroform, referring to it only as “the wet rag thing” as they attempt to keep the other Nick incapacitated while future Nick takes charge of his own destiny. It makes for a pretty irresistible comic pairing. They’re just two guys way over their heads, arguing about semantics while the fate of their entire future hangs in the balance.
Eiza González rounds out the crew as Alice. And together, this gloriously mismatched trio goes by the only title that could possibly make sense of all this time-altering buffoonery: Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice.
Written and directed by BenDavid Grabinski, who previously helmed the dark romantic comedy Happily and co-created the acclaimed Netflix animated series Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, this new R-rated action-comedy has Vaughn pulling double duty as both the present-day and future Nick: an ill-fated yet sharply dressed gangster who stumbles upon a time-travel machine and seizes the opportunity to rewrite some wrongs.
With the help of his partners Mike and Alice, Nick tries to course-correct the chain of events that lead to his demise, including stopping a cannibal assassin (played by Barry’s Stephen Root) sent specifically to kill them—which, all things considered, feels like a pretty reasonable thing to want to prevent. What begins as a desperate self-preservation scheme soon spirals into the kind of gloriously chaotic caper where the plan was never really the plan, and the only way out is through a version of yourself you’re not entirely sure you trust.
Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice is slated to make its world premiere next week at SXSW before arriving exclusively on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ on March 27th.
🎥 “Scary Movie” Trailer: Anna Faris, Regina Hall, and the Wayans Brothers Are Back to Roast Modern Horror Hits Like Sinners, Weapons, M3GAN, Smile, Terrifier and More — Hitting Theaters June 5th
Some popular horror franchises promise a final chapter... a final showdown to close things out once and for all. The Scary Movie series, on the other hand, promises the exact opposite. Even after nearly 13 years away, as long as horror movies keep multiplying, this franchise will keep coming back to slice them up.
Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Anna Faris, and Regina Hall reunite as Shorty, Ray, Cindy, and Brenda, the quartet who turned slasher panic into punchlines back in 2000. Now the Core Four find themselves staring down a brand-new wave of horror trends in this long-awaited Scary Movie sequel, taking sharp jabs at everything from endless reboots and remakes to elevated horror and legacy sequels. And nothing is off the table, so expect some of your favorite horror franchises to land squarely in their crosshairs.
This new installment wastes no time sharpening its knives for the genre’s most recognizable tropes and newer horror hits like Sinners, Get Out, Smile, Weapons, M3GAN, Terrifier, and The Substance, among countless other references. Every sacred cow gets dragged onto the chopping block, kicking and screaming. And any horror franchise brave enough to slap the words “final chapter” on a poster... well, you know it will likely be the first target.
It’s been 26 years since the original Scary Movie burst onto the scene, turning horror trends into belly laughs and launching the movie careers of Anna Faris and Regina Hall. Now they’re back for another round of gleeful slasher genre mayhem. If the Scream franchise can rise from near extinction, why not this one too? Let the roasting begin.
Directed by Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House, Fifty Shades of Black), the film features a supporting cast that mixes familiar faces with fresh victims of the joke. Alongside the returning quartet are Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, Dave Sheridan, and Lochlyn Munro, with Damon Wayans Jr., Gregg Wayans, Kim Wayans, Heidi Gardner, Olivia Rose Keegan, Sydney Park, and more joining the fun.
So, in other words, the knives are out again… and this time they’re pointed at every horror trend of the past twenty years. Scary Movie hits theaters June 5th.

Maxine Peake portrays his fiercely protective mother, while Shirley Henderson and Peter Mullan appear as figures who challenge and guide him along the way. As stigma and misunderstanding become constant obstacles, the fight becomes less about controlling the disorder and more about embracing it and refusing to hide your own voice. The film was unfortunately caught in the middle of a recent BAFTA controversy, which seems to suggest that a story about understanding such a disorder is needed now more than ever.

Léa Seydoux, Luna Wedler, Sylvester Groth, and Martin Wuttke portray figures whose stories unfold across different eras, revealing how human lives echo through time. As past and present intertwine beneath the same branches, personal loss and curiosity begin to reshape the characters’ understanding of nature and themselves.
