“Please Don’t Feed the Children” Trailer: Michelle Dockery Traps Orphaned Teens into a Post-Pandemic Nightmare in Director Destry Allyn Spielberg’s Horror Debut – Streaming June 27th on Tubi
In a world ravaged by a deadly virus—where the adult population has nearly dropped dead and children appear immune—perhaps the scariest thing left for a surviving adult is a pack of wayward teens at their door. And for those teens? The most terrifying sight imaginable… is a friendly-faced adult with a sinister agenda.
In this post-pandemic horror thriller Please Don’t Feed the Children, a group of orphaned teens trek across a broken and paranoid landscape, where children have been unjustly blamed for the virus that decimated the adult population. Hunted, wounded, and desperate, the group stumbles upon what appears to be a safe haven: the quaint, rural home of a seemingly kind English woman.
Enter Downton Abbey’s Michelle Dockery as a soft-spoken motherly woman who couldn’t possibly hurt a fly. Right? Wrong! Once the kids are welcomed inside, the nightmare begins. Dockery’s aw-shucks demeanor masks a far darker intent, complete with a fresh batch of drug-laced cookies and a hidden basement just waiting for its next occupants.
Because in a world where youth are feared and blamed, the most terrifying truth is this: the future may belong to the young... but that doesn’t mean they’re safe.
Featuring a cast of young actors, including Zoe Colletti, Andrew Liner, Dean Scott Vazquez, Regan Aliyah, Emma Meisel, Joshuah Melnick, and Vernon Davis, the post-apocalyptic thriller marks the feature directorial debut of Destry Allyn Spielberg, daughter of Steven.
Co-starring Giancarlo Esposito as a local sheriff suspiciously snooping around Dockery’s home, the film is a chilling reminder that sometimes, the real monsters aren’t the ones lurking outside... but the ones who invite you into their homes.
Please Don’t Feed the Children is set to stream exclusively on Friday, June 27th as a Tubi original feature.
“Woken” Trailer: Erin Kellyman Wakes Up Pregnant, Amnesiac, and Trapped on a Mysterious Island in This Psychological Thriller — Hitting Select Theaters and on VOD July 18th
Imagine waking up with no memory of where you are. While recovering from a bad fall that left you with a head injury, you slowly realize you’re stranded on a remote island with people who claim to know you. They say you’re safe, that they’re taking care of you. But something feels off. They’re hiding something... something big. The smiles don’t quite feel reassuring. And the stories don’t always add up. And the strangest part of all? You’re pregnant.
Woken is a new psychological thriller starring Erin Kellyman, just recently seen in 28 Years Later, and known for appearing in Solo: A Star Wars Story, as well as co-starring on the Disney+ shows The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Willow. Kellyman plays a pregnant young woman recovering from a serious accident that has left her unconscious for two weeks. She’s now awake, but with zero recollection of who or where she is.
While trying to piece her fragmented memory back together, she soon discovers she’s now living on a secluded island with a group of people who seem terrified of returning to the mainland. The more she pushes for answers, the more questions she uncovers—about the island, its inhabitants, and the real reason she ended up there in the first place. What she learns might be more horrifying than the accident itself, as she realizes she may be living under a form of military rule… and those friendly faces aren’t so friendly after all.
Written and directed by first-time feature filmmaker Alan Friel and also starring Maxine Peake (Black Mirror: Metalhead) and Ivanno Jeremiah (Humans), Woken is expected to open in select theaters and VOD starting on July 18th.
“London Calling” Trailer: Josh Duhamel Plays a Jaded Hitman Babysitting a Nerdy Teen in This Bullet-Riddled Crime Comedy — In Theaters September 19th
Who better to teach a kid how to man up than a cold-stone hitman? Well, we can think of worse options.
In the new crime comedy London Calling, Josh Duhamel stars as a mob-connected L.A. assassin whose new partner is someone he didn’t see coming: a soft-spoken, nerdy teenager (played by IT's Jeremy Ray Taylor) who’s forced to ride shotgun on the hitman’s next assignment under strict orders from his father (Rick Hoffman of Suits). The deal? The kid needs to toughen up, and Duhamel’s character—grizzled, jaded, and just trying to stay alive—is the unlucky chaperone.
In exchange for playing babysitter, Duhamel’s hitman is promised safe passage to London to see his own son, where he hopes to evade the ire of his former boss, a ruthless British gangster played by Aidan Gillen (The Wire) who actively wants him dead.
But what begins as an awkward apprenticeship quickly turns into an unexpected bond, as the unlikely duo navigate shootouts, assassination attempts, and a few bullet-laced “life lessons” along the way. Because sometimes, the best way to grow up… is hanging out for a few days with a gun-toting mentor who kills for a living.
Directed by Allan Ungar (Bandit), who’s perhaps best known for helming the viral Uncharted live-action fan film starring Nathan Fillion, London Calling is slated to land in theaters September 19th.
“Osiris” Trailer: Terminator star Linda Hamilton Leads a Band of Alien-Abducted Soldiers in This Creature-Filled Sci-Fi Action Thriller — In Select Theaters and on VOD July 25th
While running a classified mission, a small unit of Special Forces commandos find themselves ambushed and backed into a corner. With enemy combatants closing in, the team braces for the worst… but nothing could prepare them for what happens next.
In this upcoming sci-fi action thriller Osiris, a team of elite soldiers (played by Max Martini, LaMonica Garrett, Michael Irby, Linds Edwards, and Jarren Mitchell) is suddenly zapped from their secret Earth-based location and transported to a colossal alien spacecraft hovering somewhere in orbit. Disoriented and armed to the teeth, they quickly discover they’re not alone... and not welcome.
Inside the ship, they’re hunted by monstrous extraterrestrials who see humans as one thing only: food. Teaming up with a ragtag group of fellow abductees (including Deadpool’s Brianna Hildebrand), the soldiers are introduced to their unlikely leader: a grizzled, rifle-wielding survivor played by Terminator icon Linda Hamilton, complete with an Eastern Russian accent... because why not?
With time running out and the alien pantry getting restocked, the soldiers must combine tactical training with raw desperation to plan an escape before they’re served up as the main course. Osiris is a high-octane, creature-packed thrill ride where the only way out... is guns ablazing.
Directed by indie filmmaker William Kaufman (The Channel, Daylight's End, Sinners and Saints), Osiris is coming to theaters and VOD on July 25th.
“Site” Trailer: Jake McLaughlin and Theo Rossi Unlock a Mind-Bending Mystery in This Government-Lab-Gone-Wrong Thriller — In Theaters and on VOD August 8th
Sometimes an abandoned government site should stay abandoned... unless you’re looking for trouble and looking to have your reality flipped upside down.
In the new science-fiction–tinged paranoid thriller Site, a deserted government facility becomes a potential goldmine for a couple of eager property flippers, played by Will Trent actor Jake McLaughlin and Sons of Anarchy’s Theo Rossi. Armed with a fixer-upper mindset and zero knowledge of the site’s classified past, the duo sees nothing but dollar signs... until strange phenomena begin to surface.
McLaughlin’s character steps into a locked laboratory with a strange machine inside. Soon, he begins to experience dark and traumatic visions of a history he doesn’t quite recognize. Time turns upside down, and reality begins to unravel. Now, he must uncover the truth before his mind fractures completely… or worse, before he loses the ability to tell what’s real and what’s illusion.
Co-starring Arielle Kebbel, Miki Ishikawa, and Yoson An, and written and directed by Jason Eric Perlman (Threshold), Site will be arriving in theaters and on VOD August 8th.
“Push” Trailer: A Pregnant Realtor (Alicia Sanz) Battles a Sinister Intruder (Raúl Castillo), and Sudden Labor, in New Horror Thriller — Streaming July 11th on Shudder
Since the days of Rosemary’s Baby, the pregnancy horror subgenre has successfully tapped into some of our deepest, most primal fears—that birth is somehow tied with doom and dread. That notion still resonates, as the image of a pregnant woman has become a symbol not just of the power of giving life, but also of extreme vulnerability.
With Push, a new horror thriller from filmmakers David Charbonier and Justin Powell (The Djinn, The Boy Behind the Door), the genre takes a disturbing new turn—fusing pregnancy horror with the gut-wrenching tension of a home invasion. Most already know why home invasion stories are inherently terrifying. But set that terror inside a home the protagonist isn’t even familiar with? And make her pregnant? That’s horror dialed up to eleven.
Spanish actress Alicia Sanz (El Cid, From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series) stars as Natalie Flores, a real estate agent who is eight months pregnant and desperate to close a big sale to restart her life. She takes on the challenge of selling a luxurious estate with a murky past. During the open house, she encounters a mysterious man (Raúl Castillo, Smile 2) who claims to know why the house has been on the market so long: a brutal murder happened there—and he hints it may not be the last.
Now trapped inside with this stranger, Natalie must fight for her survival. And when the stress and fear trigger her labor, the stakes escalate. She’s no longer fighting for just one life... but two.
Push is coming to Shudder Friday, July 11th. Perhaps, avoid open houses until then... just to be safe.
“Trainwreck: Balloon Boy” Trailer: New Documentary Dives into the Infamous 2009 Hoax That Fooled the World — Premiering July 15th on Netflix
Think back to October 15, 2009. There was a stranger-than-fiction true story that took the media by storm: a young boy was believed to be trapped in a runaway homemade balloon floating high above Colorado. It was surreal, gripping, and almost cinematic. Everyone was glued to their TV sets, with CNN running wall-to-wall coverage as the silver balloon soared through the sky. Yes! Times were different back then. But the story was the perfect storm of parental terror, bizarre fascination, and live-broadcast drama… and it all turned out to be something else entirely by the end.
In the upcoming Netflix documentary Trainwreck: Balloon Boy, viewers will get to relive the time the nation became completely captivated—and later blindsided—by one of the most bizarre media frenzies of the 2000s. What began as a desperate rescue mission for a six-year-old kid supposedly floating through the sky in a helium balloon quickly unraveled into a tale of reality TV ambitions, parental manipulation, and a hoax that left the world stunned.
The documentary dives deep into the cultural madness of the moment, revisiting the live coverage, the interviews, and the fallout that followed. And it’s all told by the man at the center of the noise: Richard Heene, a failed reality show self-promoter who built a large saucer-shaped balloon in his backyard, only to claim that his six-year-old son, Falcon, was trapped inside when it launched into the sky. What followed was a real-time media circus, complete with helicopters, breaking news alerts, and nationwide panic. But when Falcon was found hiding from his parents, the story took a sharp turn. Richard was soon accused of staging the entire ordeal as a publicity stunt.
But was this all a calculated hoax? Were cable news networks too quick to run with the story in their chase for ratings? And was this merely a symptom of a nation’s growing obsession with fame, spectacle, and the increasingly blurry line between entertainment and reality? Perhaps, all of it is true.
Get ready to reminisce about a time when the most horrific thing on CNN was a story of a boy stuck in a balloon when Trainwreck: Balloon Boy debuts Tuesday, July 15th, only on Netflix.

“Hey, Viktor!” Trailer: Cody Lightning Returns With a Hilariously Misguided Comeback in This Canadian Mockumentary — In Select Theaters July 13th
It’s been 20 years since Cree actor Cody Lightning lit up the screen as “Little Viktor” in Smoke Signals. Now? He’s out of work, out of options, and out of excuses. In this Canadian mockumentary comedy, Lightning plays a hilariously fictionalized version of himself on a chaotic mission to reclaim his former glory... by writing, directing, and starring in Smoke Signals 2: Still Smoking. With a documentary crew in tow and not a shred of self-awareness, Cody spirals into cringe-inducing desperation. After his wife leaves him (and takes the kids) for a younger, hotter actor, Cody heads back to his reserve in northern Alberta, determined to prove he’s still got it... even if literally no one asked. This is a sharp, self-deprecating satire on the perils of fame, identity, and cultural legacy. Hitting select theaters July 13th!

“Nobu” Trailer: Nobuyuki Matsuhisa’s Rise from Sushi Chef to Lifestyle Mogul in This New Documentary — Opening June 27 in New York; More Cities July 4th
From humble beginnings to Michelin-starred mastery, Nobu slices into the extraordinary life of chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa, the man behind the name that changed modern dining forever. Directed by Matt Tyrnauer (Studio 54, Scotty and the Secret History of Hollywood), this revealing new documentary rolls out an intimate portrait of the sushi sensation who blended Japanese tradition with bold Peruvian flavors, winning over the world (and Hollywood) with dishes to die for. Nobu didn’t just build a restaurant... he built a lifestyle empire. Opening in New York on June 27th, followed by more cities on July 4th.
London Calling and Osiris look like fun escapism, Site might be interesting. The current trend of horror and documentaries I will be glad to see pass into history. Neither have any appeal for me.
