Sterling K. Brown is Caught in a White House Murder Mystery in Trailer for Hulu's New Political Thriller Series "Paradise" from Creator of 'This Is Us'
Emmy winner Sterling K. Brown reunites with "This Is Us" creator Dan Fogelman for a new show. But don't expect a heartwarming story about a tight-knit family dealing with grief and happiness. No, this is more about a tense political thriller where the highest members of the White House are called into question when the leader of the free world is found dead in his bedroom.
Check out the first official trailer for "Paradise," Hulu's new eight-episode political murder-mystery thriller from creator Dan Fogelman and executive producers John Requa and Glenn Ficarra, the same team behind the hit family drama series "This Is Us."
In the limited series, Sterling K. Brown takes on the role of Xavier Collins, a decorated Secret Service agent with two young children. His life takes a dramatic turn when he is assigned as the personal bodyguard to the U.S. president (played by James Marsden, from the "Sonic the Hedgehog" franchise). But when the president is found dead in his bedroom, and Xavier is the last person to see him alive, he quickly becomes the prime suspect in a complex investigation. Did he commit the crime? Was he involved in a secret conspiracy? Or is he just the victim of a government cover-up?
"Paradise" also stars Julianne Nicholson ("Mare of Easttown"), Sarah Shahi ("Sex/Life"), Nicole Brydon Bloom ("The Gilded Age"), newcomer Aliyah Mastin, and Percy Daggs IV ("Never Let Go"). The series is set to debut on Hulu starting January 28th.
