The Deadly Games Continue in Season 2 of Netflix's Emmy-Winning Korean Phenomenon "Squid Game," Starring Lee Jung-jae as Gi-hun, aka Player 456 - Watch the Trailer!
Netflix has released the official full-length trailer for the eagerly awaited second season of the Emmy-winning Korean thriller series "Squid Game," which became not only a cultural phenomenon but also one of the most-watched shows in Netflix's history.
The show followed Gi-hun, aka Player 456, an ordinary Korean man struggling to make ends meet, who is offered the chance to participate in an underground tournament of deadly challenges inspired by children's games. The winner, the last one standing, is rewarded with a substantial cash jackpot. However, surviving long enough to claim the prize is the ultimate challenge.
Korean actor Lee Jung-jae, recently seen in the Disney/Star Wars series "The Acolyte," returns to his Emmy-winning role as Gi-hun (Player 456). In Season 2, Gi-hun re-enters the deadly games, but this time as a survivor armed with the knowledge of how to win. The real question is whether that experience will be an advantage or a liability.
"Squid Game" creator Hwang Dong-hyuk returns as writer and director for the new season. Lee Jung-jae reprises his role alongside a new cast of characters as they confront a fresh set of deadly and challenging contests, four years after the original events.
"Squid Game: Season 2" arrives on December 26th, exclusively on Netflix. Watch the full trailer, above.
