🎥 “Project Hail Mary” Trailer: Ryan Gosling Becomes Humanity’s Unlikeliest Savior in Phil Lord & Christopher Miller’s Darkly Comic Deep-Space Mystery Based on Andy Weir’s Best-Seller — In Theaters March 20th, 2026
With all the dire warnings of looming ecological catastrophe, the hope is that humanity will eventually pull it together and find a sustainable path forward before time runs out. Maybe technology will evolve fast enough to repair the planet or help us dodge the worst of what’s coming. The idea, at least, is that humankind will survive... it has to.
Weeeell, what if the sun itself started dying... and no one knew why? And what if the only person who might be able to save us wasn’t a world-renowned scientist or seasoned astronaut, but an ordinary middle-school science teacher? He’s the last guy anyone would expect to rescue humanity, and yet he might be the only one who can. He also rides his bike to work—not for exercise, just because. So here’s hoping he knows what he’s doing.
Ryan Gosling plays that unlikely hero in Project Hail Mary, the new darkly comic sci-fi thriller based on the bestselling novel by The Martian author Andy Weir. With a doctorate in molecular biology, Gosling’s Ryland Grace is teaching at Grover Cleveland Middle School when the U.S. government approaches him for a classified mission. As one of the few people on Earth who might understand why the Sun is fading at an alarming rate, he’s pushed into becoming an astronaut on a desperate “Hail Mary” solo voyage to find answers—and hopefully a solution—before humanity slips into extinction.
But once he’s launched into deep space, Ryland wakes up mid-mission with almost no memory of who he is or why he’s there. As pieces of his past slowly click into place, he uncovers the unsettling truth behind the assignment—and discovers he isn’t as alone as he thought. His so-called solo mission becomes something far stranger when he encounters an alien, rock-like being who’s also racing to save its own planet from going dark.
Sandra Hüller (Anatomy of a Fall) co-stars as Eva Stratt, the no-nonsense government head of the Hail Mary initiative, with a screenplay adapted by Drew Goddard, the writer-producer behind The Martian. Direction comes from filmmaking duo Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, marking their first completed feature since 22 Jump Street. Known for their signature blend of humor and heart—from the Spider-Verse films they produced to their genre-bending comedy hits—the pair dives into full-scale sci-fi for the first time since their high-profile exit from Solo: A Star Wars Story.
Gosling and Hüller are joined by Milana Vayntrub, Lionel Boyce, and Ken Leung. Project Hail Mary is due to open in theaters nationwide on March 20th, 2026.

🎥 “We Bury the Dead” Trailer: Daisy Ridley Battles a Zombie Outbreak in Zak Hilditch’s Terrifying Australian Horror-Thriller with Brenton Thwaites — In Theaters January 2nd
The cool thing about zombie films is that they test audiences’ nerves as every situation is a minefield of tension, danger, and split-second decisions where one wrong move can end everything. Now Daisy Ridley is no stranger to perilous events, having fought the dark side in the Star Wars franchise. But she’s not exactly prepared for what’s coming her way this time as she faces not only the dead rising but also a terrifying outbreak spiraling wildly out of control.
In the upcoming horror thriller We Bury the Dead, Ridley stars as Ava Newman, a woman hunting for her missing husband across a scarred, shell-shocked Australia. The country is unraveling under the weight of a strange new pandemic — one triggered by a secretive military bombing experiment gone nightmarishly wrong. Determined to find answers, Ava signs on with a grim body-retrieval unit assigned to clean up the innocent casualties. But while on her mission, she discovers something far more disturbing: some of the dead are getting back up.
Now her journey to find her husband has just taken a terrifying turn as the roads of Australia go from eerily still graveyards of corpses to nightmarish battlegrounds where the dead refuse to stay dead. Worse yet, their bloodstained teeth and bones chatter like it’s an eerie warning that Ava is running out of time... and that the real nightmare is only just beginning.
Written and directed by Australian filmmaker Zak Hilditch (known for the cult end-of-the-world thriller These Final Hours), the film pairs Ridley with Brenton Thwaites as they scour through a ravaged, zombie-filled Australian outback that would make Mad Max shake in terror.
We Bury the Dead is set to open in theaters on January 2nd. So, if you’re looking to kick off 2026 with a jolt straight to the nervous system, this might do the trick!
🎥 “Is This Thing On?” Trailer: Will Arnett Finds Pain, Punchlines & a New Beginning in Bradley Cooper’s Heartfelt Stand-Up Dramedy with Laura Dern — In Theaters December 19th
They say comedy usually comes from pain, as if laughing at something can lessen the sting. And the better the comic, the darker the topic can get, because a good comedian can always dig up something funny in life’s harshest edges.
In his latest film, Will Arnett plays an amateur stand-up comedian who happens to stumble into the profession — quite literally — after looking for a random place to drink, only to walk into a comedy club and sign up for a set. Now, before you think this is the setup for the next big comedy where the laughs come from his awkward rambling onstage, it’s actually something much more grounded. And Arnett offers a much more nuanced performance as a new divorcée whose failed marriage has just become his material. The jokes are bad. But the pain is really much real.
Is This Thing On? is a grounded new dramedy about middle-aged reinvention as Arnett’s Alex Novak discovers stand-up comedy can be as healing as it is humbling. Alex, reeling from a divorce he never expected, channels his heartbreak into a fledgling stand-up act where the laughs don’t exactly land... at least not at first. While dealing with a miffed ex-wife (played by Laura Dern) and his disappointed parents (Ciarán Hinds and Christine Ebersole) who are stunned he’s suddenly gone into comedy, Alex finds himself grasping for purpose in the most unlikely new chapter of his life.
The film is also directed by Bradley Cooper, marking his third outing behind the camera after his Oscar-nominated dramas Maestro (2023) and A Star Is Born (2018). Working from a script he co-wrote with Arnett and Mark Chappell (Flaked, See How They Run), Cooper also co-stars as “Balls,” Alex’s best friend who tries to cheer him on as he pivots his life toward comedy.
Rounding out the cast are Andra Day, Amy Sedaris, and Sean Hayes, with guest appearances from real working stand-up comedians. The film originally started as an adaptation of British comic John Bishop’s autobiography, which recounted his rise to success following a late-in-life divorce. But once real-life friends Cooper and Arnett came aboard, the project appears to have shifted into an amalgam of Bishop’s story, Cooper’s personal history, and Arnett’s own divorce experience.
Is This Thing On? is slated to open nationwide on December 19th. And going by Cooper’s record, the film might be in the Oscar conversation — perhaps a nomination for Arnett, as he seems to be delivering a different side of himself.

🎥 “Night Patrol” Trailer: LA’s Most Dangerous Police Unit Has Fangs in New Vampire Horror-Thriller Starring Justin Long & Jermaine Fowler — In Theaters January 16th
If you always had that uneasy feeling that your local police department might be hiding something worse than corruption — well, this new horror thriller is here to confirm your darkest suspicions and then crank them up another notch.
Night Patrol takes to the streets of Los Angeles, where the LAPD isn’t just something you mistrust on instinct but a force hiding a nightmare no civilian could ever prepare for. Sure, they might be wearing badges, but that doesn’t mean you’d ever want them showing up at your door unannounced — not if you don’t have garlic handy.
Justin Long, still riding his Barbarian horror cred, stars as a no-nonsense LA police officer who, since joining the force, has always wanted to be part of the fabled “night patrol” unit. Little does he know that the price of initiation is far wilder, stranger, and bloodier than he could ever imagine. Bye, sunlight. Welcome to the night forever.
Jermaine Fowler (of The Blackening and Coming 2 America) co-stars as Long’s rookie partner who soon discovers there’s a reason no one has seen the officers in night patrol during the daytime… that’s because they’re all secretly a brotherhood of vampires — police vampires! And Justin Long is the latest recruit to have just been turned. Now forced to team up with the very street gangs they were tasked to patrol, Fowler and Long try to contain the vampire-driven mayhem before an all-out war drowns the city in blood.
Featuring a supporting cast that includes RJ Cyler, Freddie Gibbs, CM Punk, YG, Flying Lotus, Dermot Mulroney, Jon Oswald, and Nicki Micheaux, director Ryan Prows and screenwriters Tim Cairo, Jake Gibson, and Shaye Ogbonna — the same team behind 2017’s cult pulpy LA crime flick Lowlife — bring together street-level action, vampire lore, and a dash of grindhouse energy to this vampire cop thriller where monsters wear badges and fangs.
Night Patrol hits theaters January 16, 2026.
🎥 “You, Me & Tuscany” Trailer: Halle Bailey and Regé-Jean Page Spark a Sun-Drenched Fake-Fiancé Romance in This Breezy Italian Getaway Comedy — In Theaters April 10th, 2026
A simple misunderstanding turns into a life-changing adventure in Italy where romance can bloom in the most unexpected ways.
From blockbuster producer Will Packer, the hitmaker behind smash hits like Girls Trip and the Ride Along movies, comes a glossy, feel-good romantic comedy about one tiny lie that snowballs into a delicious Tuscan escapade between Halle Bailey (The Little Mermaid, The Color Purple) and Regé-Jean Page (Bridgerton, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves).
Here, Bailey stars as Anna, a twenty-something drifting through life after shelving her dream of becoming a chef. One bad day later, she loses both her house-sitting job and her housing, sending her spiraling straight into a chance encounter with Matteo (Lorenzo de Moor), a charming Italian whose family villa is conveniently sitting empty.
Anna takes the chance to fly to Italy and sneak into Matteo’s vacant villa, believing she can crash for one night and regroup before joining her friend on vacation. But things take a sharp turn when Matteo’s mother (played by Italian star Isabella Ferrari) strolls in unexpectedly, forcing Anna to improvise. In a panic, she lets Gabriella believe she’s Matteo’s fiancée. That’s strike one. Strike two arrives when Matteo’s charismatic cousin, Michael (Regé-Jean Page), shows up, and suddenly Anna’s fake engagement comes with some very real sparks — ones that fly faster than the truth can catch up.
Co-starring Marco Calvani (Netflix’s The Four Seasons) as a talkative taxi driver who becomes Anna’s unexpected confidant, and My Big Fat Greek Wedding’s Nia Vardalos as the house-sitting client who unknowingly starts this entire romantic domino effect, the film is directed by Kat Coiro (Marry Me, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law) and written by Ryan Engle from an idea by Engle and Kristin Engle.
You, Me & Tuscany arrives in theaters April 10th, 2026.
