New Trailers! House of the Dragon: Season 3, Spider-Noir, Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: Season 4
📺 Westeros plunges into civil war, Nicolas Cage’s web-slinging gumshoe stalks 1930s New York, Tatiana Maslany faces a twisted online trap, and the Enterprise charts new deep-space missions!
📺 “House of the Dragon: Season 3” Trailer: Westeros Braces for Fire and Blood as the Targaryen Civil War Reaches Its Point of No Return — Premiering Sun, June 21st on HBO and HBO Max
The pursuit of power has always come with its fair share of bloodshed and betrayal. But in the world of Game of Thrones, power is rarely taken cleanly, and keeping it usually demands an even higher price. Claiming the throne is only half the battle; surviving what comes next is where things get truly brutal.
Now throw in a Targaryen civil war and a few ferocious flying dragons, and that fight for power quickly becomes a full-blown feud with enough fire and fury to bring all of Westeros to its knees.
Fresh off the pleasant surprise and success of this year’s spin-off series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which leaned more into honor and humor, the Game of Thrones franchise comes roaring back this June with the kind of fire-breathing drama it does best. Brutal political schemes, backstabbing strategies, feuding families, and enough dragon-fueled carnage to remind us that the throne is not only hard to win, but even harder to survive.
House of the Dragon: Season 3 will serve as the show’s penultimate chapter, with Season 4 set to bring the saga to its final conclusion, currently slated for a 2028 air date. That means this third season will likely be loaded with setup, escalation, political intrigue, and plenty of dragon-sized consequences. In other words, just another day in Westeros.
Season 3 picks up with the realm in total disarray as multiple factions fight for control. With the kingdom edging closer to full-blown civil war and Aemond Targaryen (Ewan Mitchell) now occupying the throne, power may have shifted for the moment, but peace is nowhere in sight.
After striking down his own brother, Prince Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney), and leaving him scarred and exiled under the belief that he is dead, Aemond has now claimed the throne for himself, unaware that plenty of others are ready to tear it from his grasp. After realizing her son’s true nature, Alicent (Olivia Cooke) has secretly aligned herself with embattled queen Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) in a desperate bid to restore order before the realm rips itself apart. But something tells us that moment may have already passed, because once power lands in someone’s hands, they rarely give it up without a fight. And in this war, the players aren’t just related; they’re armed with soldiers, sailors, and dragons big enough to turn family squabbles into a kingdom-wide catastrophe.
With showrunner Ryan Condal back at the helm, working alongside George R. R. Martin to adapt his epic Fire & Blood, fans can expect plenty of dragon fire, saltwater, and bloodshed across the Narrow Sea.
Also returning are Matt Smith as Daemon Targaryen, Rhys Ifans as Otto Hightower, Steve Toussaint as Corlys Velaryon, and Sonoya Mizuno as Mysaria, among others. House of the Dragon: Season 3 is scheduled to premiere Sunday, June 21st on HBO and HBO Max. This summer just got a little hotter... and a whole lot bloodier.
📺 “Spider-Noir” Trailer: Nicolas Cage Swings Into 1930s New York as a Hard-Boiled Web-Slinging Gumshoe — Premiering Mon, May 25th on MGM+ and Wed, May 27th on Prime Video
The image of Spider-Man has traditionally been tied to a young photojournalist doubling as your friendly neighborhood superhero, balancing everyday life with the responsibility of protecting the city. But with the arrival of the “Spider-Verse,” that idea has widened into something far more flexible. It can just as easily take the form of a hard-boiled 1930s private eye, sporting a fedora and trench coat, who also happens to fire webs from his wrists.
Nicolas Cage is, in a way, returning to his “Spider-Man Noir” role for a new Amazon original series. After voicing the character in the 2018 Oscar-winning animated hit Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Cage now brings him into live action as Ben Reilly—a down-on-his-luck, slightly over-the-hill private investigator who once swung through the city as a masked vigilante but now spends his nights drowning in whiskey and chasing leads. That changes when a routine assignment hits a little too close to home, pulling him back toward his past and forcing him to take up the Spider-Man mantle once again.
Based on Marvel’s 2010 “Noir” comic book line, Spider-Noir also stars Lamorne Morris (New Girl) as sharp street reporter Robbie Robertson, Ben’s loyal friend who pushes him to move past his demons and step back into the role the city needs. Meanwhile, Sinners actress Li Jun Li steps into the classic femme fatale role as nightclub singer Cat Hardy, who brings Ben a missing person case that quickly opens into a larger mystery packed with shady characters.
On the opposing side, Brendan Gleeson plays Irish crime boss Silvermane, with Abraham Popoola as mob enforcer Tombstone, Andrew Lewis Caldwell as Megawatt, and Jack Huston as a 1930s take on Sandman. The cast also includes Karen Rodriguez, Lukas Haas, Jack Mikesell, Cameron Britton, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Amy Aquino, and Amanda Schull, among others.
Executive produced by Project Hail Mary and Spider-Verse filmmakers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, alongside Amy Pascal, with co-showrunners Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot guiding the series, the show leans fully into a classic noir style: stark lighting, deep shadows, foggy streets, and wardrobe straight out of an old detective tale.
Spider-Noir will be available in two visual formats: “Authentic Black & White” and “True-Hue Full Color.” For anyone chasing that pure noir vibe, the black-and-white version is the obvious choice.
The series premieres on MGM+ Monday, May 25th, before rolling out globally on Prime Video Wednesday, May 27th.

📺 “Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed” New Teaser: Tatiana Maslany Caught in a Twisted Online Kidnapping Scam That Quickly Turns Personal — Premieres Wed, May 20th on Apple TV
It’s a scam... an especially twisted one. Tatiana Maslany gets to flex her acting chops as a working single mother who believes she’s witnessed a kidnapping online, only to realize it might all have been staged in this new darkly comic, twisty thriller series, Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed.
Created by showrunner David J. Rosen (Us & Them), with David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express, the Halloween reboot franchise) directing the pilot and shaping its offbeat, suspenseful tone, this Apple original series centers on Paula, a newly divorced mother who connects with a man online. During a webcam call, she watches in horror as he’s violently taken hostage by a masked intruder. Convinced she’s seen a real crime and fearing for his life, Paula goes to the police, only to be told it’s likely a con, a familiar online scam meant to squeeze money out of unsuspecting victims.
Frustrated and humiliated, Paula decides to push back, but things shift fast once she realizes the people behind the scam know every detail about her life. Suddenly, waiting isn’t an option. She has to make the first move. The problem is, she has no idea what to do... and neither do her friends. What follows is a spiral where every step feels like a setup, and the deeper she gets, the harder it is to tell who’s orchestrating the scheme... and who’s about to be the next mark.
Maslany is joined by Jake Johnson as her ex-husband and Dolly de Leon as a police detective, with Charlie Hall and Murray Bartlett rounding out the cast.
Fans of Maslany who appreciate her sharp, layered performances should have plenty to latch onto here, because in our opinion, she’s at her best when she’s balancing vulnerability while teetering on the verge of coming undone.
Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed premieres Wednesday, May 20th on Apple TV.
📺 “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: Season 4” Teaser: Captain Pike and the Enterprise Crew Return for New Cosmic Adventures — Premieres Thurs July 23 on Paramount+
There’s a reason this corner of the Star Trek universe keeps trekking; it knows discovery can be just as compelling as danger. Each new planet brings its own mix of surprises and risks. Sometimes, to go boldly, you have to be ready for whatever’s waiting out there. And out there, things rarely go according to plan... no matter who’s at the helm.
With Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: Season 4, the U.S.S. Enterprise is back in motion, charting new territory in the years before Kirk ever took command. Led by Captain Christopher Pike, the crew embarks on a fresh run of episodic missions, with every destination presenting a new challenge.
Anson Mount returns as Pike, continuing to ground the series with his steady, commanding presence. He’s joined by Rebecca Romijn as Number One, Ethan Peck as Spock, and Celia Rose Gooding as Uhura, alongside Christina Chong, Melissa Navia, and Martin Quinn rounding out the core Enterprise crew. Meanwhile, Paul Wesley reprises his role as a young James T. Kirk, with Martin Quinn stepping in as iconic engineer Montgomery “Scotty” Scott... a small nod to the original series.
As part of Alex Kurtzman’s expanding Star Trek universe, the show continues carving out its own lane, balancing nostalgia with forward momentum, bringing back familiar faces while pushing into uncharted territory. At its core, it’s still about a crew chasing the unknown with purpose and optimism... even when danger is never far behind.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: Season 4 premieres Thursday, July 23rd on Paramount+.
