đ„ âAnacondaâ Trailer: Jack Black and Paul Rudd Face Midlife Crisis, Movie-Making Mayhem, and a 40-Foot Snake in Tom Gormicanâs Cinephile Adventure Comedy â In Theaters December 25th
Anyone who grew up loving movies will eventually float the idea of making one with their friends. Itâs practically inevitable. And sometimes, that dream takes shape as a fan-made remake of a beloved classic. Well, in this case, itâs Anaconda! The gloriously cheesy 1997 cult hit about a boat of documentary filmmakers in the Amazon who come face-to-face with one of the worldâs deadliest snakes. On paper, it sounds like a blast: heading into the jungle with your buddies to finally make that childhood dream come true. But in reality? It might just be the dumbest idea ever, because real anacondas donât play around.
Jack Black and Paul Rudd star as lifelong buddies and wannabe filmmakers in this new adventure comedyâa wild reminder that some childhood dreams are best left in the backyard, right next to the family camcorder. Here, they set out to remake a beloved movie from their shared past, only to discover the only thing more dangerous than chasing a dream is realizing it might just chase you back.
In Anaconda, a new cinephile-driven comedy from filmmaker Tom Gormican (The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent), Black and Rudd play Doug and Griff, two lifelong best friends whoâve been obsessed with remaking their favorite guilty pleasure, the gloriously over-the-top 1997 creature feature Anaconda, for decades. Now, deep in the throes of a midlife crisis, they finally say âwhy not?â and set off for the Amazon with cameras rolling and chaos guaranteed.
What starts as a comically shoddy passion project soon takes a deadly turn when their snake wrangler loses their python in a stunt gone wrong. Now, the desperate wannabe filmmakers seek out a real giant anaconda for the shoot, only to realize 40-foot-long snakes donât take directionâthey take lives. Suddenly, Doug and Griffâs dream remake becomes a real-life horror show, with their ragtag cast and crew (Steve Zahn, Thandiwe Newton, Daniela Melchior, and Brazilian actor Selton Mello) scrambling for survival. Itâs part buddy comedy, part survival thriller, and all scales and screams.
Anaconda will be slithering its way into theaters nationwide, Christmas Day, December 25th. âCause nothing says âholiday blockbusterâ like two middle-aged men trying to out-act, out-run, and outsmart a giant anaconda. So deck the halls this season with some Amazon-sized mayhem, midlife meltdowns, and two buddies way out of their depth.
đ„ âThe Housemaidâ Trailer: Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfriedâs Domestic Deceptions Boil Over in Paul Feigâs New Psychological Thriller with Brandon Sklenar â In Theaters December 19th
Hiring the right housemaid to enter your home and become a part of your family is not something one should take lightlyâespecially when a young child is involved. But the question no one ever raises is: as much as we worry about what the housekeeper might do once they enter your life... what happens if the lady of the house is just as dangerous? Now thatâs a tragedy just waiting to happen.
Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried put on fake smiles before locking horns in this new sultry, sinister thriller The Housemaid, proving that cleaning up someone elseâs mess is not always about tidying up the houseâbut also about dealing with messy personalities.
Based on Freida McFaddenâs best-selling novel and directed by Paul Feig (A Simple Favor, Bridesmaids), this isnât your typical upstairs/downstairs drama. Itâs a razor-sharp dive into the thin line between psychological tension and domestic trickery, where every polished surface hides a crack... and every smile masks a secret.
In the thriller, Sweeney plays Millie, a young woman trying to outrun her past, who lands a live-in job at the lavish Winchester estate. What seems like a golden ticket quickly spirals into a gilded cage, as she becomes entangled in the twisted marriage of Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew Winchester (Brandon Sklenar, of It Ends with Us and Drop fame).
Their picture-perfect life? More like a ticking time bomb. Between scandalous secrets, psychological power plays, and the seductive pull of danger, Millie soon realizes sheâs cleaning house for a family whose skeletons are rattling louder than the silverware. But that doesnât mean Millie is innocent in all this, as sheâs hiding dark secrets of her own... and knows just how to use them.
Adapted by Rebecca Sonnenshine (creator of the short-lived Netflix series Archive 81), the film also features a supporting cast that includes Italian actor Michele Morrone (365 Days) as the enigmatic groundskeeper and Elizabeth Perkins (Another Simple Favor) as the formidable Winchester matriarch.
The Housemaid is slated to hit theaters December 19th. But just remember, nothing is ever as spotless as it seems. And always double-check who youâre really letting in your home.

đ„ âSpringsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhereâ New Trailer: Jeremy Allen White Digs Into Darkness as The Boss Records His Stripped-Down 1982 Album âNebraskaâ in Scott Cooperâs Gritty Bruce Springsteen Biopic â Hitting Theaters October 24th
Forget the bandanas and glory days, this Springsteen story trades stadium anthems for stripped-down confessions. Jeremy Allen White (The Bear) transforms into The Boss in Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, a haunting biopic about the making of his bleakest, boldest album: Nebraska.
In 1982, Springsteen was a rising rock star with hits like Hungry Heart and The River. But fame couldnât quiet the storm inside. Depressed, restless, and reckoning with his lonely New Jersey childhood, he holed up in his farmhouse with a four-track recorder. What emerged was Nebraska, a lo-fi collection of stark, ghostly tales about drifters, killers, and lost souls. Inspired by Terrence Malickâs Badlands and rooted in real-life tragedy, it remains the record Springsteen calls his truest reflection.
Written and directed by Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart) and based on the biography book by musician and music historian Warren Zanes, the film zeroes in on this pivotal moment: when an artist on the cusp of superstardom stripped everything away to bare his soul.
The cast includes Jeremy Strong as Springsteenâs manager Jon Landau, Odessa Young as his love interest Faye, Stephen Graham and Gaby Hoffmann as his parents, with Marc Maron, Paul Walter Hauser, and David Krumholtz rounding out the ensemble as key figures behind Springsteenâs raw recording sessions.
With echoes of recent biopic hits (Elvis, A Complete Unknown), this one isnât about larger-than-life spectacle, itâs about staring down the void and singing into it. And who knows? Jeremy Allen White might find himself in the running for Best Actor by the time Oscar season rolls around.
Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere hits theaters October 24th.
đ„ âViciousâ Trailer: Dakota Fanning Faces Terrifying House Demands in Bryan Bertinoâs New Supernatural Horror with Kathryn Hunter â Premiering October 10th on Paramount+ and VOD
Home is where the horror is. In Vicious, Dakota Fanning discovers that sometimes the most terrifying intruder isnât outside your door... itâs the house itself.
From cult horror filmmaker Bryan Bertinoâthe twisted mind behind the 2008 home-invasion classic The Strangersâcomes a new nightmare steeped in dread and supernatural menace. Once again, a story where a house becomes less a home and more a prison of terror.
Here, Fanning plays a troubled, tattooed woman visited late one night by an unsettling stranger (Kathryn Hunter, Andor, Poor Things, The Front Room), who delivers a chilling ultimatum: the house demands three offerings: something she needs, something she hates, and something she loves. Refuse, and she dies tonight. Accept, and she just might live to see morning.
What follows is a rabbit hole of shifting walls, malevolent whispers, and a creeping evil that feeds on her deepest fears. Soon, sheâs trapped in a psychological pressure cooker where survival means surrendering the very things that make her human.
Co-starring Mary McCormack, Rachel Blanchard, and Devyn Nekoda, Vicious proves once again that Bryan Bertino is a master of relentless tension and nerve-shredding terror.
Vicious debuts October 10th, streaming exclusively on Paramount+ and on VOD. And remember: when a house starts making demands, youâd better start packingâbecause sticking around is no bueno.
