Get Ready for Turbulence as Mark Wahlberg, Michelle Dockery, & Topher Grace Face Off at 30,000 Feet - Watch the Trailer for New Thriller "Flight Risk" Directed by Mel Gibson
Get ready to take to the unfriendly skies with a suspicious Mark Wahlberg in the cockpit. Check out the official trailer for the new action suspense thriller "Flight Risk."
Directed by Oscar-winner Mel Gibson ("Braveheart," "Apocalypto," "Hacksaw Ridge"), this three-person chamber thriller features Wahlberg as a seemingly friendly pilot transporting an Air Marshal (Michelle Dockery, from "Downton Abbey") and a chained-up fugitive (Topher Grace, from "BlacKkKlansman") to trial. As they soar above the snowy Alaskan mountains, just out of communication range, it's revealed that Wahlberg’s character isn't actually the pilot. He's a professional hitman hired to kill Grace's character before he can take the stand and testify. The only obstacle in his way is a tenacious U.S. Marshal (Dockery), who is well-equipped to handle such dire situations.
Screenwriter Jared Rosenberg's script for "Flight Risk" was voted onto the "Black List" of the most-liked unproduced screenplays in Hollywood back in 2020. Mel Gibson not only directs the film but also serves as one of the producers. Gibson recently collaborated with Wahlberg on last year's faith-based biopic "Father Stu," directed by Gibson's girlfriend, Rosalind Ross, and produced by Wahlberg himself.
"Flight Risk" is set to take off in theaters sometime in 2025.
