Brad Pitt Stages High-Speed Comeback in "F1," Upcoming Formula 1 Drama from 'Top Gun: Maverick' Director Joseph Kosinski, Co-starring Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, & Javier Bardem - Watch the Teaser!
Brad Pitt feels the need for speed. But driving in the highest echelons of international racing, safety is the least of his concerns.
Check out the 60-year-old Oscar winner as he takes the wheel in the first official teaser trailer for the upcoming racing drama "F1," made in collaboration with Formula 1 and its community, with contributions from all 10 F1 teams, drivers, the FIA, and race promoters.
With scenes filmed during actual Grand Prix weekends, the upcoming film features Pitt as a retired Formula 1 driver staging a dramatic comeback and re-entering the dangerous world of international racing where safety takes a back seat. To bolster his return, he gathers a formidable team: fellow Oscar-winner Javier Bardem co-stars as a Formula One team owner and Pitt's longtime friend, while FX's "Snowfall" star Damson Idris joins as a promising young racing prodigy who becomes Pitt's new teammate. Kerry Condon, known for her Oscar-nominated supporting role in "The Banshees of Inisherin," rounds out the crew as a talented young race director enlisted by Pitt's character.
Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, and Samson Kayo also co-star.
"F1" is directed by "Top Gun: Maverick" helmer Joseph Kosinski, working alongside mega Hollywood producer Jerry Bruckheimer. The film is a collaboration between Apple Original Films and Warner Brothers and will be coming out in theaters and IMAX next summer, beginning June 27th. Until then, viewers can check out the newly released teaser trailer above.
