D23 2026: New Trailers! Avengers: Doomsday, VisionQuest, Ahsoka: Season 2, Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Season 3 & The Bluey Movie
From Avengers: Doomsday to Ahsoka, VisionQuest, Percy Jackson and The Bluey Movie, here are the new trailers Disney dropped at D23.
Hey, will you look at the calendar. It’s D23 weekend! You know, the fan expo where Disney devotees congregate not only to celebrate everything Disney, but also to get a first look at the upcoming slate of movies and shows. It’s also one of those rare gatherings where every corner of the Disney fandom can come together under one roof. Whether you’re there for Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, animation, theme parks, or everything in between, there’s pretty much something for every kind of Disney fan.
This year was especially exciting because the big rumor heading into the weekend was that Disney would finally reveal the new X-Men cast. And for the most part, that turned out to be true. We didn’t get the entire lineup, but several new names were announced, including a few genuine surprises in Inde Navarrette as Rogue and Maya Boyd as Storm, while confirming previously rumored names like Kit Connor as Scott Summers, Christopher Abbott as Professor Charles Xavier, and Samara Weaving as Emma Frost. Adam Driver was another big name announced this weekend, joining the new X-Men cast as its latest villain: Nathaniel Milbury, better known as Mr. Sinister.

So while much of the talk was centered on X-Men, plenty of Marvel fans were also wondering about Avengers: Doomsday, the massive MCU crossover event arriving later this year in December. Would we be getting a new preview? And what about Lucasfilm and Star Wars? What does Disney+ have coming down the pipeline? Will we be seeing new trailers for that?
Well, the short answer is... yes!
Disney dropped a number of new trailers and previews online from D23, and we’ve rounded them all up below in case you weren’t able to keep up with everything. So take a looksee!

🎥 “Avengers: Doomsday” D23 Special Look: Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom Faces Reed Richards as the Avengers, Fantastic Four and X-Men Unite — Hitting Theaters December 18th
We don’t know about you, but we were pretty disappointed with the last Avengers: Doomsday trailer, as it didn’t necessarily conjure up much of anything for us. And we weren’t alone with that sentiment, as a lot of fans online have expressed similar feelings. Well, word must have gotten back to Marvel, because this new special look from D23 really amps up the emotion and, more importantly, the excitement for a movie that’s already shaping up to be absolutely massive, even if the buzz online has been a little less than enthusiastic and hypercritical. The MCU really needs a big win, and after the super-successful box office performance of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the studio is coming into this one with a lot of momentum.
Featuring practically every superhero team in the MCU, including some we haven’t seen in quite a while, Doomsday is bringing together the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, Wakanda, and veteran X-Men for one massive multiversal showdown. They’re all there to face off against Doctor Doom, the existential threat pulling these very different worlds toward the same point of destruction. Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. returns to the MCU to take on the role of Doom, the movie’s big bad, who appears to have some connection to the Fantastic Four’s universe. In one particularly tense scene in the new trailer, Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal) confronts Doom and pleads with him to stop whatever he’s doing. We’re still not getting too much from Doom himself, although this may be our best look at the character so far.
Boasting a who’s who of MCU talent, led by Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, and countless others, and marking the return of Infinity War and Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit theaters on December 18th.

📺 “VisionQuest” Trailer: Paul Bettany’s Vision Faces His Past, James Spader’s Ultron and Some Unexpected Daddy Issues — Premiering Wednesday, October 14th on Disney+
Another big reveal this D23 weekend was the first footage from VisionQuest, the highly anticipated WandaVision spinoff series featuring Paul Bettany returning as everyone’s lovable synthezoid, Vision.
When we last saw Vision, he had been rebuilt and was left searching for a sense of purpose beyond the memories and commands embedded in his synthetic mind. And whereas WandaVision explored the inner, conflicted mind of Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlet Witch, this new MCU series appears to be doing something similar, as it also dives into Vision’s own internal struggle with identity and, dare we say... daddy issues.
That’s right! James Spader is back not only as the voice of Ultron, but also as the human embodiment (a rather shaggy, bearded one) of the brilliant but flawed master AI program that essentially gave birth to what would become Vision. There had been rumors that Spader would be returning, and now this trailer confirms it.
But the question is: why is Ultron back? Is he merely a data fragment, a lingering echo within Vision’s reconstructed mind, or something far more complex... perhaps a reassembled consciousness there to mentor Vision in his own journey of fatherhood?
Yes, believe it or not, it seems Vision will have to learn to be a father to Thomas Shepard (played by Ruaridh Mollica), a mysterious young man who may have a deeper connection to the family he thought he had lost.
Also co-starring Todd Stashwick, T’Nia Miller, Lauren Morais, Orla Brady, Diane Morgan, Emily Hampshire, and James D’Arcy, the series comes from showrunner Terry Matalas, whose credits include 12 Monkeys and Star Trek: Picard Season 3.
VisionQuest is scheduled to premiere Wednesday, October 14th, exclusively on Disney+.

📺 “Ahsoka: Season 2” Teaser Trailer: Rosario Dawson Returns as Ahsoka as Hayden Christensen’s Anakin and Lars Mikkelsen’s Thrawn Reenter the Fight — Premiering Wednesday, January 20, 2027 on Disney+
It can’t be a D23 event without some Star Wars love, right? Enter Rosario Dawson, looking badass and swinging a lightsaber!
This year, Lucasfilm delivered with the first look at Ahsoka: Season 2, which won’t be arriving until early 2027. But despite it being an early preview, it certainly doesn’t skimp on the footage, as it reveals Hayden Christensen will be back as Anakin Skywalker in Force ghost form. He will once again confront his former Padawan with a few unfinished lessons as Dawson’s Ahsoka finds herself stranded far from home while Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) begins rallying the remnants of the Empire.
Dawson also seemed like the perfect casting choice to play an older Ahsoka, carrying the character’s strength and quiet confidence into live action. And while, if you asked us, the first season (apart from a few standout episodes) felt like a missed opportunity to fully flesh out the character, it really does seem like Season 2 just might be the one that finally gets there. Fingers crossed the producers and writers behind the show figured out how to give Ahsoka the depth and character development that felt a little lacking the first time around.
Also returning for Season 2 are Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, and Ariana Greenblatt as young Ahsoka Tano.
Meanwhile, Game of Thrones actor Rory McCann will be taking over the role of fallen Jedi Baylan Skoll, who was originally played by Ray Stevenson, who sadly passed away following the completion of the first season.

📺 “Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Season 3” Trailer: Walker Scobell Faces the Titan’s Curse as Percy’s Latest Quest Uncovers a Prophecy That Could Doom Olympus — Premiering Friday, November 20th on Disney+
On the Disney+ front, D23 showed off the full trailer for Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Season 3, giving fans their first extended look at the show’s adaptation of Rick Riordan’s The Titan’s Curse.
Walker Scobell is back as the titular demigod Percy Jackson, who finds himself embarking on his most urgent quest yet after Annabeth Chase (Leah Sava Jeffries) is captured by the forces of Kronos. Like most Percy Jackson adventures, this one also has him setting out on a perilous rescue mission with Grover (Aryan Simhadri), only to find himself caught up in a much larger conflict involving a chained goddess, the Titan’s curse, and a prophecy that could determine the fate of Olympus.
So, it seems Percy just can’t catch a break. For once, you’d think he could just have a normal school year without any godly crisis getting in the way.
Also starring Tamara Smart, Charlie Bushnell, Ming-Na Wen, and Andra Day, and executive produced by Rick Riordan, Jonathan E. Steinberg, Dan Shotz, and others, Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Season 3 is coming to Disney+ on November 20th.

🎥 “The Bluey Movie” Teaser: Bluey, Bingo, Bandit and Chilli Take Their Family Adventures to the Big Screen — In Theaters August 6th, 2027
Just to prove that D23 isn’t all about superheroes and Jedi, there’s pretty much something for everyone. A Bluey movie is coming! So, parents and their cartoon-loving children, rejoice.
Bluey, Bingo, Bandit, and Chilli are getting the big-screen treatment in their first feature-length adventure, with series creator Joe Brumm writing and directing. If you thought TV screens could barely contain all that Heeler family energy, just wait until Bluey and company are blown up to theater-sized proportions.
The film will also make the jump to CG animation, bringing the familiar world of the series to life as the story expands from its seven-minute roots into a full-length theatrical experience. A red balloon will be involved somehow, but know this: whatever adventure awaits, families will likely be turning out in droves.
The family-friendly animated series, which originated in Australia and has run for over 50 seven-minute-long episodes, has become a worldwide phenomenon, turning ordinary parents into hardcore Bluey-heads right alongside their children.
The film will be coming out in theaters on August 6, 2027.
Word to the wise: if you have any friends with kids, you may want to pass this trailer along now and prepare yourself for an earful about how Bluey is basically the biggest thing in their household.
