★ “Zootopia 2” Trailer: Hopps and Wilde (Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman) Tackle Therapy and a Slithering New Villain in Disney’s Animated Sequel with Ke Huy Quan and Quinta Brunson — Hitting Theaters November 26th
Zootopia was a huge hit for Disney Animation back in 2016, blending witty social commentary with buddy-cop hijinks and stunning animation. The film won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature and grossed over $1 billion at the global box office, cementing its place as a modern Disney favorite.
Now it’s been almost a decade, and Hopps and Wilde are finally back. But if you think their partnership is stronger than ever... well, just remember—even the best partners need a little therapy once in a while.
After solving Zootopia’s biggest case, highly optimistic rabbit officer Judy Hopps and newly reformed con artist fox-turned-Judy’s new partner Nick Wilde (again voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman) hit a rough patch when Chief Bogo enrolls them in the Partners in Crisis counseling program. But their bonding time gets cut short when a venomous new villain slithers into town—Gary De’Snake (voiced by Oscar-winner Ke Huy Quan)—dragging our duo into another wild mystery.
With help from new faces like the overly enthusiastic quokka therapist Dr. Fuzzby (Abbott Elementary’s Quinta Brunson) and a crime-happy rodent named Nibbles (stand-up comic Fortune Feimster), the fur—and scales—start flying fast. Old friends return, new species stir the pot, and trust might be the toughest nut to crack.
Written and directed by Jared Bush (chief creative officer for Walt Disney Animation Studios) and co-directed by Byron Howard, Zootopia 2 is slated to hit theaters November 26th.
★ “GOAT” Teaser Trailer: Stranger Things’s Caleb McLaughlin Voices a Hoop-Dreaming Underdog in Stephen Curry’s Animated Basketball Comedy from Sony — In Theaters February 2026
Space Jam proved basketball and animation can make an unlikely, but wildly entertaining, pairing. It also opened the door for NBA stars to use their stardom in creative ways beyond the court. For instance, Lakers legend Kobe Bryant spearheaded an animated love letter to the game titled Dear Basketball, which earned an Oscar for Best Animated Short Film in 2017. Now, it’s Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry’s turn to bring something exciting to the animation genre. And it seems Curry is using his underdog stature as the driving force behind this new Sony Animation feature (the same studio behind Spider-Verse) about how no one is too small to dream big... not even a goat.
In GOAT, a new animated basketball comedy from Emmy-winning animation director Tyree Dillihay (Bob's Burgers) and co-director Adam Rosette, Will—a scrappy young goat with sky-high dreams (voiced by Stranger Things actor Caleb McLaughlin)—gets the unlikeliest shot at roarball glory: joining the pros in a brutal, full-contact, all-animal arena where only the fiercest survive.
Problem is, Will’s new teammates don’t exactly scream “team spirit”—especially when their newest recruit is snack-sized. But with unstoppable heart and a game-changing mindset, Will’s ready to prove that “smalls can ball”... and maybe even become the greatest of all time.
Featuring the voices of Gabrielle Union, Nicola Coughlan, Nick Kroll, David Harbour, Jenifer Lewis, Aaron Pierre, Patton Oswalt, and more—plus Stephen Curry, who also serves as an executive producer—GOAT is coming to theaters February 2026.
★ “Fixed” Trailer: Adam Devine Leads Genndy Tartakovsky’s Raunchy Animated Dog Comedy with Idris Elba and Kathryn Hahn — Premiering August 13th on Netflix
Sometimes when your dog starts acting up uncontrollably, it can only mean one thing... it’s time to get him fixed. But what if your dog could somehow understand that he's going to be snipped the next morning... how would he spend his last night with everything intact? Would he (A) roll over and let it happen without a fuss, or (B) go out with a bang?
From animation legend Genndy Tartakovsky (Samurai Jack, Primal) comes a new raunchy animated comedy that proves there are always consequences when a horny dog has his way with “nanna.” Think: The Secret Life of Pets... only if the big secret is that dogs are constantly thinking about screwing and pooping.
Fixed features the voice of Adam Devine as Bull, a cheerful mutt living his best life... until he finds out he’s getting neutered in the morning. With his clock ticking (and his, uh... bits still in place), Bull rallies his crew for one last night of canine chaos, confessions, and carnal bucket list goals.
Along for the ride: Idris Elba as grizzled mentor Rocco, Bobby Moynihan as ride-or-die Lucky, and Fred Armisen as a fame-thirsty dachshund, while Kathryn Hahn voices the show dog of Bull’s dreams. And time is running out to tell her how he really feels.
Equal parts unfiltered and unexpectedly heartfelt, Fixed isn’t afraid to ask the big questions... like what if Superbad was told from a dog’s POV?
Premieres Wednesday, August 13th, only on Netflix. And remember: it’s not for the kids... unless your kid is a very mature schnauzer!
✪ “Long Story Short” Trailer: From the Creator of BoJack Horseman Comes This New Dysfunctional Sibling Animated Comedy Series with Ben Feldman, Abbi Jacobson, Nicole Byer, and Max Greenfield — Streaming August 22nd on Netflix
Sometimes the best stories are the animated ones you relate to... painfully. The kind that make you laugh, cry, and cringe all at once. Which is exactly the brand of animated comedy we’ve come to expect from the makers of BoJack Horseman.
Featuring a strong voice cast including Ben Feldman, Abbi Jacobson, Max Greenfield, Lisa Edelstein, Paul Reiser, Nicole Byer, and Angelique Cabral, Long Story Short is a time-jumping animated romp that proves growing up is messy... but staying close is messier.
Spanning decades of dysfunction, this Netflix original series follows the Schwooper siblings as they bicker, bond, drift apart, and occasionally show up for each other (usually late and with emotional baggage in tow). It’s a whip-smart, painfully relatable ride through childhood flashbacks, adult regrets, and family feuds that never really die.
Created and showrun by BoJack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg, with illustrator/animator Lisa Hanawalt (Tuca & Bertie) serving as supervising producer, Long Story Short aims to be heartfelt, hilarious, and just uncomfortable enough to make you text your siblings afterward. It's set to debut Friday, August 22nd on Netflix.

But when the gang learns their beloved camp is shutting down, it’s up to Charlie Brown and friends to save the day—with the power of music, memories, and one epic concert under the stars.

★ “Grave of the Fireflies” Trailer: Studio Ghibli’s Heartbreaking Wartime Classic Returns to Theaters — August 10–12th Only
In one of animation’s most powerful masterpieces, this Studio Ghibli classic remains one of cinema’s most emotional portraits of wartime innocence lost. Directed by Isao Takahata and based on the real-life account of survivor Nosaka Akiyuki, this devastatingly beautiful animated feature, originally released in 1988, tells the harrowing story of Seita and his little sister Setsuko, two children left to survive on their own in war-torn Japan after an air raid takes their mother and shatters their world. As the bombs fall and resources dwindle, they seek shelter in an abandoned bomb site, clinging to hope, memory, and each other. Part of the 2025 Studio Ghibli Fest, Grave of the Fireflies returns to U.S. theaters August 10–12 with both subtitled and dubbed versions.
