Ana de Armas Takes the Lead in New Action-Packed 'John Wick' Spin-Off with Keanu Reeves, Ian McShane, and the Late Lance Reddick. Watch Her in Full Action in New Preview for Upcoming "Ballerina"
Let's face it, no one can truly fill John Wick's shoes. Then again, John Wick wouldn't exactly fit into ballerina shoes either. Enter Ana de Armas, carving out her own space in the "John Wick" universe as the next badass assassin we can all root for. The newly released "CCXP Extended Look" preview offers an exciting glimpse into "Ballerina," the upcoming spin-off set between "John Wick: Chapter 3" and "Chapter 4."
Ana de Armas, known for her action-packed roles in "The Gray Man," "Ghosted," and "No Time to Die," and Oscar-nominated for her portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in "Blonde," stars as Rooney, a ballerina-assassin on a quest for vengeance. Her mission? To avenge her family's murder. First introduced in "John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum," the concept of tattooed ballerinas doubling as lethal assassins is brought to life as Rooney finds sanctuary at the Continental Hotel under the protection of Winston (franchise regular Ian McShane) and Charon (the late Lance Reddick, in his final role).
Gabriel Byrne ("Hereditary," "The Usual Suspects") co-stars as the main antagonist, a mob boss unleashing an army of assassins on Rooney. The film also features returning franchise stars Anjelica Huston as "The Director" and Keanu Reeves as the one and only John Wick. Other cast members include Catalina Sandino Moreno, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, David Castaneda, and Norman Reedus.
Directed by Len Wiseman ("Underworld" series), "From the World of John Wick: Ballerina" hits theaters June 6, 2025, expanding the thrilling world of the beloved action film franchise.
