SYNOPSIS __________
Plot:
What if you only had a short time left to live? What would
you want to do? Dylan, who has been selected for
the “United Wish Givers” program, has a rather
surprising request…
ONE LAST THING… is the story of Dylan Jameison (Michael
Angarano), a 16 year-old kid from an industrial town in Pennsylvania,
who has terminal cancer, and who’s living life as fast
as he can. When a charitable organization, “United Wish
Givers,” grants Dylan a last wish, he initially chooses
to go fishing with his football hero, Jason O’Malley.
But that’s not what he really wants. In a moment of
inspiration during the locally televised news conference,
Dylan reveals that his true final wish is to spend a weekend
with supermodel Nikki Sinclair (Sunny Mabrey).
With the help of his two best friends, Slap (Gideon Glick)
and Ricky (Matthew Bush), and star football player Jason O’Malley
(Johnny Messner), Dylan spends his last days in Manhattan,
trying to fulfill his wish, to the dismay of his single mom,
Karen (Cynthia Nixon). In addition to the usual growing pains
encountered by a boy his age, Dylan is faced with coming to
terms with his imminent departure from this world. His resulting
journey is both touching and surprisingly funny.
