| SYNOPSIS __________
Plot:
This is a fully computer generated (CGI) version of Masamune
Shirow's classic comic book, "Appleseed."
Officer Deunan Knute and her cyborg partner Briaros Hecatonchires
must prevent terrorists from gaining control of the Olympus
city computer and causing massive chaos. As they fight to
stop the terrorists and preserve their society, the question
of who is actually in the right--their society, or the "terrorists"--continues
to arise.

Appleseed will be directed by Shinji Aramaki and
produced by Fumihiko Sori (the director of last years hit
Japanese live action movie - Ping Pong; In addition, Sori
is also known for his work on James Cameron's Titanic).
Calling Appleseed "The world's first real-life-CG-anime
movie," Sori says, "It should be easier to empathize
with the characters due to the more realistic and three-dimensional
drawing." The movie will be 100% computer animated.
